Nah. He didn’t wanna move just like everyone else. He was in his seat ready to play and wasn’t gonna entertain that bs. Everyone had already moved so it actually just added an inconvenience again for everyone else. Nothing wrong with saying “you made your bed” to the arbiters though. Gotta respect it either way lol
That’s my thought, too. Maybe he felt disrespected and treated like an ape for the cameras? Or maybe all those chess players tend to suffer from OCD and need to get over their sh!t. Personally, I don’t think I would’ve had a problem.
Well, with a room full of cameras pointing mostly at you and following every step, every gesture of yours, sure I also would behave a bit humble 😅 But yeah, you can glorify him as you wish

Try to see the bigger picture. Magnus knows it is better for chess as a whole to raise everybody up. He also has this little thing respect! This is a sporting competition not a popularity contest. His competitors were starting to move and he said no this is not right we are all here as competitors/equals.
Any change, especially when they are already at the board and ready, can throw off their focus and concentration, distracting them and calling into doubt the legitimacy of any result.
