Very simple sf6 akuma doesn't trade with air fireball if he gets hit, no hard knock down new demon flip not as strong because no vortex/no grab. sub par teleport and raging demon only on CA
@@L96A1BM ah yes, in a tournament against some of the best players in the world for thousands of dollars, professional players are picking him because of hype, not because he will maximize their chances of winning. Are you actually listening to yourself?
if you just press or hold back during drive rush, your character will cancel out of it. Your character will run for a minimum of like 10 frames or so before you can stop. it's usually done to bait reversals, which is what tokido did in the clip.
One thing I like about Akuma: His OD SRK beats meaty drive impact. If you meaty drive impact Ken or Ryu, and they OD SRK, you eat the 2 hits and punish them every time.
Akuma isn't bad in a vacuum, but in the game of SF6, he doesn't have the right tools in the right places to succeed. Ken 2MK is just better for DR, Ken 5HK is just better for Punish Counters, Fireballs are about equal. Also, as Mago said, Jinrai is insane, Demon Flip doesn't even compare to it. Demon flip should have kept its grab input.
He has faster movement soeed, has faster fireballs, can use fireballs frkm the air and still has the tools of a regular shoto like DP? Dude, wdym he doesn't have the right tools, he LITERALLY has all the right tools.
I hate this timeline. A whole armada of japanese players are playing Akuma and the one guy no one would have a problem playing him, is still playing Ken. I dont get it dude
guess tokido has to spend more time trying to figure akuma out, he's been a top contender using ken for the past year so it's definitely harder to pull out once you put so much work into a character
Many pros pick the best character they believe in, loyalist cannot win them money Do you think those pros live Luke so they pick Luke in S1? Nah, they pick Luke because Luke is strong in S1, they ditch Luke because Luke become mediocre in S2
I’ve been saying it, he needs to at least get a 250 HP buff or a better 2MK (which he had both in V) to be tournament viable again. Having 8750 HP didnt work in the V system, so they gave him 9000 hp. He’s just too volatile & arguably the weakest shoto in 6. Obviously Ken & Luke are the clearly better shotos, but I think even Ryu is the better choice for tournament play over Akuma. Until then, he will only ever be an online warrior character. Akuma mains better pray for better balancing the next update or hold hope that E. Ryu makes it in (& that he isn’t Kage lol)
