Well I would argue that Wilson and luck had comparable seasons to brees. Mahomes was far and away the best player on the field last year and Donald was actually the 2nd choice in MVP voting. Brees was excellent in a 3rd place finish. This year we all just want mahomes against brees in the Superbowl. I bet mahomes is still the better player though

People just don't appreciate the intangibles that Tom Brady has. The man has dedication, humility, football passion, work ethic and etc. like no other QB. This man wins Superbowl and immediately starts working on the next. 9:31 You put any other QB(Rodgers, Brees, Mahomes, Ben) in TB12 position and they won't get more than half of what Tom Brady accomplished. TB12 could win 10 straight Superbowl and play next season just as hungry as the first one. I can't say that about the other QBs.

Then you clearly don’t know Mahomes. Not saying he is at TB12’s level right now, but at the same age and time in his career Patrick is far and above further along. Plus, you don’t see Brady giving any other QB the kind of love and respect he gives Mahomes. Greatness appreciates greatness.

How many times have we seen QBs do great for a short period(first season or less) until defenses start to catch onto their offense? Now teams are going to have the whole offseason to watch the film on his Chief and it'll be interesting to see how he'll do this upcoming season.

I simply mean Patrick has the same intangibles. How he refines them is yet to be seen. He, too, got right back to work after the season and busts his tail. The pure joy Patrick has for football over pretty much anything in his life can be seen on his face. I’m excited to see what he does this season because it’s so much more than a playbook. It’s the intangibles, like TB12 has, that make someone special. Don’t count Patrick out just yet. I truly believe the show has just begun.

However, the idea that he is the GOAT athlete is absurd. Because there is no way the GOAT can lose the biggest football game of all time in SB 42, and then lose the redemption game in SB 46.

Rodgers got only 6 wins last year while his completion percentage was 26th(!) in the league. His QBR was 20th in the league and his passer rating was 13th. Rodgers is mediocre at best.

Last year Brady averaged 30+ points and 300+ passing yards per game in the playoffs. What QBs have done that? The year before he averaged 30+ points and 375+ passing yards per game in the playoffs. He saved his A game for the postseason.

I'm a Brady fan but I am fine if Mahomes was first since he is young, healthy and was the best QB in the league last year (With a historically good season). On Potential it is a completely justifiable position projecting into next season. But Rodgers? He is not young, he is actually getting old. He has been injury prone with both big ones and small nagging ones. He wasn't that good last year and has not been better than Brady any season since 2014. Rodgers has had a great career and can still be a great player moving forward but the over hyping of this man is ridiculous.

Rodger's had a down year, at 4400+ yards passing, 25 TD's and 2 ints. That's a down year for him. Yeah he threw the ball away a lot, but id rather him throw it in the dirt than throw a pick or take a sack and lose yardage. And Brady won't have Gronk to throw to this year, so idk who y'all are gonna pass it to. Guess he will throw his 2 yard check downs for 80% of the plays :)

He was better than Brady is 2016 4400 yards 40 tds 7 picks if not for the injuries he’d be better than Brady all of those seasons and unlike Brady who’s team is 13-6 without him greenbay is 5-10-1in the years he broke his collarbone without Rodgers greenbay wouldn’t even have won 6 games this year

Matthew Aleman He’s a brady fan, if you use logic he will throw up rings, and when you state it’s a team game, he’ll ignore it and keep saying “6 rings.” But, you’re absolutely right, without Rodgers, GB would easily have the worst record in the league. I really hope Rodgers goes off this year with LaFleur and takes the league by storm again. It’s ridiculous that missing the post season a few seasons in a row makes you bad. Injuries and then just bad coaching will do that to a team. Finally got rid of stagnant McCarthy. We will actually utilize Aaron Jones now..it’s gonna be a beautiful thing. Plus the secondary is going to be a lot better. And we will actually have a pass rush, something that hasn’t been existent for a long time in GB. Can’t wait.

@@Lethal97 brady has led the league in passing accuracy for balls 10+ yards over the past 3 seasons. He also has led the league in most passes completed over 10+ yards the past 3 seasons. Brady ranks 9th among qbs that have thrown balls under 10 yards. Guys like drew Brees Matthew Stafford big Ben are front runners for that.

Patrick Mahomes is easily the most talented quarterback in the NFL. I’m a diehard Cleveland Browns and I was hoping they would Of drafted him when he was coming out. That being said, I believe Baker Mayfield has just as much arm talent, but he’s not going to run like Mahomes.

Some guys can just spin it with touch and velocity (95+ “throwing power”ie.(Brett Favre, Dan Marino, Aaron Rodgers , John Elway, Patrick Mahomes,Baker Mayfield etc.). Guys who are for sure 95+ throwing power and IMO poor touch are (Cam Newton,Colin Kaepernick,Josh Allan)

Same reason Brees gets glory. How many has Brees been to? The NFC is the western conference of football. Parity is much higher in the NFC, front offices look to be much smarter. This in-turn makes the NFC have a higher variance of who comes out. QB is the ultimate position in football, but it only accounts for a small percentage of what makes a team great. If you take these guys and put them on the exact same team, execs would take Rodgers because he is in a league of his own skill-wise and has proven time and time again that at the end of games, he will get in position to win. Whether his defense gives up a 80-yard play on the ensuing drive is another story. He has not been blessed with the teams/coaches of the other two.

Kris Bailey i disagree but i dont think you are wrong. The nfc does have a lot more parity but at the end of the day rodgers has not been to the big game since 2010 and he has had plenty of opportunities. Dont forget about those nfc championship games vs atlanta and seattle where he clearly gave those games away. And unlike rodgers, brees has not been injury prone and he was 2nd in mvp voting the last 2 years if it wasnt for the Minneapolis miracle and that bogus pi call missed vs the rams

I would task you with looking at the 2014 NFC championship 4th quarter and take note of the strategy Mike McCarthy deployed in order to preserve the lead, and then the drastic difference after the Seahawks took the lead. I'll give ya a hint, it's embarrassingly filled with 3 and out eddie lacy stuffs. Against Atlanta, I'm not sure how giving up 44 points is "Rodgers giving it away". I actually did a numbers comparison a while back that I can dig up that shows just how horrible the Packers defense has been since the super bowl. From 2011-2017: Regular season - Packers defenses have given up an average of 3.8 more PPG than the Patriots. Post season - Packers defenses have given up an average 5.35 more PPG than the Patriots. Post season losses - Packers defenses have given up 10 more PPG than the Patriots. A fun note is that the Patriots defense allows only 1.8 more PPG in losses than they do in total. I'm sure Rodgers would love that consistency.

Jeez, how much does Brady need to do to get some respect? He's won 6 Superbowls, been to 9, and QB'd a team to an 18-1 record in 2007. Everyone needs to slow down a bit on the Mahomes bandwagon. He's only started one full season, and he took over an Andy Reid team that even "check down" Alex Smith made the playoffs with most of the past 5 years. Anyone remember RG3? Mahomeboy is an ACL tear away from losing his flashy style of play, while Brady torn his knee up in 2008, and it had little effect on his style of playing. He made 5 Superbowls after that injury. I'm not even a Pat's fan, but Tom Brady is the best QB ever.

Worth mentioning that last season, Mahomes had Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Sammy Watkins and Kareem Hunt to aim for, while Brady had Julian Edelman, Chris Hogan and what was left of Rob Gronkowski. KC has easily the best offensive weapons in the league, NE's are middle of the road, at best.

Mahomes is by far the best talent and has shown up in big moments. However, I get the argument of waiting to see if he could do it again. Brady, is all-time clutch and I can't stand the mans guts. He doesn't disappoint often. I don't think anyone does less with that organization, defense and running game, but he has taken less and is consistent. I can't be mad at that. Again...I grew up in miami and I hate this mans guts.

Wash Georgington look at you acting like you know what you’re talking about. Cute. The “Browns” that Bellichick was coaching became the modern day Baltimore Ravens. And he had 2 top 5 league quarterbacks to work with (Kosar and Testaverde) and he still came up with a losing record. Not to mention he was 5-13 in New England before Brady started, with Bledsoe, who was a top 3 QB in the league at the time; and then never ever came close to losing again after Brady started. No one is saying he’s a bad DC, he’s a great defensive coach but he wins nothing in his career without Brady. 45% record without Brady, 78% record with him lol.
