This isn't the only way to do it.
It's probably not the best way to do it.
But it's how I did it.

Good selection in the post bag this week, look forward to your kit builds. Just finished a couple of digital clock builds. I made some of that rosin flux myself using those type of bottles. Seemed to work fine. Just keep adding crushed rosin to the ipa until saturated.

The low price per item is how they get you to buy in quantity. Even if you only need 1 or 2 they're so cheap you buy 10.

add a motor to the fidget spinner to top the x-mas tree, would maybe need a little 3d printing to hold it all together or sticky tape/hot glue

I still love fidget spinners, even though they've gone out of fashion somewhat. And a light-up fidget spinner combines that love with my love of shiny flashy light-up things! Can't wait to see the build!

oh yeah! I got some rosin as well. Will make some flux along with you in jan! Also your manitoban brews are making me thirsty, I have to try and find some here in ON.

It looks like you bought the same Rosin that I used for flux. I only use my home made flux these days, It's' just as good as any you can buy. (and I've got so much of it. LOL)

Am using the same squeeze bottle for DIY flux. Works quite well, esp for surface mount work.

Very useful tip: they are, for some unknown reason, called 'tobacco bottles'. A reference to those...artificial...smoke doodads?

No idea. Might just be the usual amusing Chinese translation?

Kit build time is here again! Oh boy oh boy oh boy! No rule says you have to build the fidget spinner as designed. Instead of the bearing, stick in a solid chunk of plastic and attach it to a small motor, maybe kitbash it with something with an IR sensor so you don’t have to switch it on and off. Say, you got some rotary connector commutator gizmos a while back. Would one of those do to eliminate the batteries you don’t have? Would the sliding contacts introduce noise and keep resetting the MCU or would adding a smoothing cap fix that?

Battery eliminator! Good thought.

@@pileofstuff use the slip ring to power it while on a motor.

make the rosin mix before the kits so you can try it during kit building.... if you haven't recorded them yet.

Copper = steel which may not be bad for those cheap strings. The ones I bought last year are still gooda. Definetily not for outside.

Hey looking for assistance from RU-vid comments here. And this is in regards to the wire LED strings. I'm trying to find ones that the LEDs are very close together instead of typically 2 to 3 inches and using LED strings for all sorts of things in my models. Primarily interested in the white varieties of LEDs doesn't matter as much the color as long as it's white but primarily finding a source of them that are super close together. Abuse others but when you need them close to Gallery gets messy and bulky with having to shorten by looking back and forth and twisting wire together just to take up excess length. Essentially using the ones that would be super close together to simulate string lights in scale somewhat. Yes I know there are specific ones out there for that but they're super expensive used to use the lights for like Department 56 and other sorts of things but those get very expensive nowadays. Also of note I found a good source for long strings of LEDs suitable to what we have on a spool and cut to the length knead. On wiretap LED strings Amazon is often your friend for a lot of things. Nice thing is parallel connection no Active Electronics 4.5 battery pack! Free adaptable also to USB with a few modifications primarily using the is for on a spool just for cut the length needed as I mentioned. If I remember it's 60 ft or so of wire LEDs
