Thank you so much for posting this. I saw this parade in 2000 (I was 4 years old at the time). I was very disappointed the several times the in years before that we went and they didn't have it and was so excited when I was finally able to see it. Always loved Don Dorsey's original arraignment.
I bet your probably wondering why the 2010-2016 run used a different soundtrack. there are 2 reasons for this. 1. They wanted to add more Disney tunes and 2. there was 1 bar of music in the old version that made choreography difficult because it had a 3 beat tempo while the rest of the song had 2 beats
here's an interesting fact about the parade some of you might not know. while there were versaions of the parade running almost simultaneously at Disneyland and Walt Disney World, the floats for Florida's version were built in California.
@@lancasterblvd2010 the one that went to Paris. all those floats that were in THAT version were built in California EXCEPT for the Ballroom float and the Swans (those were built in Florida) now you may be thinking "Florida didn't have Swans in their parade" TRUE, *HOWEVER. THEY* were tasked with building Tokyo's version of the parade.
I would like to see this parade come back to the Magic Kingdom. I last saw it in its final week in October 2016. IMO, the MSEP is better than their nighttime fireworks.

@@lancasterblvd2010 I checked in my library and did not post such a video. However, I do have the Small World Holiday on 8mm tape. Because of your inquiry, I am now converting that tape to digital and will get the Small World Holiday posted. I do not remember the date; either sometime in the last week of Dec 1997 or first week of January 1998. I was visiting a friend in CA during that period. I also have Fantasmic! from back then. I will post that too. I found a tape labeled Disneyland, Universal, Knotts, Magic Mountain 1997. I don't know why I never converted it to digital. I will have Small World uploaded sometime tomorrow.
@ Toongeek45: I always wanted to see this parade. I'm glad I did in 1999. I even like the updated version. I have uploaded a video of the new version; it was shot in late September 2010. I have been to Disneyland several times, but this parade was not running at those times (1997, 2000 & 2007). This summer, I'm going to Disneyland again and I hope to see World of Color. I'll be at Walt Disney World for New Years and I hope to see the Electric Parade again. :-)
They ended this parade somewhere in early 2001 because in mid 2001 Tokyo Disneyland is about to Premier their own version of the main Street electrical Parade called Tokyo Disneyland electrical parade dream Lites
I was eager to see the MSEP when I went back to WDW in late February 2000. However, the parade was not running that week because of low attendance and shorter operating hours. When I went in 2001, Spectromagic was back.
01:02 it's probably a good thing the only Presiident Clinton on property was an animatronic. i bet he'd have been up in arms over that flag satill beieing up.
