The last three games we have played much better BUT the problem is Isak Gordon are not taking their chances compared to last season. The subs were fine he needed to try something different at the time rightly took off Murphy probably should have been earlier and it could have been Tonali joelinton or Bruno to come off - willock was terrible again from the bench just way off it- Gordon done nothing second half sorry. Overall team playing well but main goal scorers just not doing enough this season.
Tonali plays 90 min every game for Italy and is outstanding . But Eddie need to keep it fair you know, and Sandro can't complain after the ban so is the easy sub 😴
We've got a point less than last season, albeit with 11 less goals difference.. so I'm not Eddie Out just yet. But i am starting to doubt if he has another level or change of idea.. I can't see us getting anything from Chelsea or Arsenal and even Forest away to be honest. If we're 2 points from 21 at the next international break then surely we have to discuss a replacement? We would if that was Pardew or Bruce form.. We can't blame transfer windows when playing the likes Everton and Fulham or even Brighton.
Problem is we have had a fairly easy start to the season fixture wise and haven't had the 2 European games we had last year. I just feel we have no ideas going forward anymore
@@taylor-mb6eg yeah 2 champions league and 1 league cup game V 2 league cup games this season. But yeah the fixtures were slightly harder last season, cos we had man city, Brighton away and villa and Liverpool at home, where as this season we've had the harder fixtures man city, Brighton and spurs at home so far. Either way the lack of goals is probably the most worrying..
Been saying for ages Eddie won't take us any further, in fact he will hold us back. Stick with him we finish 12th/13th this season and we can say goodbye to our best players. The club need to make a difficult decision before January. The myth that he makes players better too. Who is better ? Joelinton maybe Gordon that's it. Rode the Saudi wave, was exactly what we needed but time to move on asap
I think the board will give him until the end of the season unless we go on a crazy bad run like 5 defeats on the bounce. There's very few managers on the market now too.
@@rossmcfarlane1219 Darren Eales probably doesn’t even know what an Edin Terzic is. He probably has to google “what is an edin terzic” - Eales is a complete clown who refuses to make tough decisions like getting rid of this manager! I want Ruben Amorim or Rangnick.
Every fan was excited about seeing J7 Tonali and Bruno together.....but why are all 3 of them not looking to get into the box and score? We're too reliant on Isak and Gordon. Willock needs to start if the other 3 aren't going to try and get into the box...we're very predictable right now.
Eddie had to react to his team not putting the icing on a very tasty cake. We were as good as we have been in a very long time for the first 35mins. The players let him down in shooting positions. If we score all is well. Fine margins
The last two games we have taken one point against woeful opposition performances. The 433 high press has been failing for months and the manager doesn’t appear to be comfortable with an alternative.
It doesn't matter how much certain fans back Howe, if we're sitting anywhere near mid-table come Christmas the Saudis will get rid. They can't let us go two seasons without any European football.
Eddie claims Tonali was fatigued again. Eddie has messed up to much this season from transfers, to picking a team, to making subs we need something new.
A new manager, we are crying out for a world class manager to take us to the next level. I’m bored of Howe, he’s draining the positivity out of this club. It’s no coincidence that bournemouths transfers have massively improved since Howe left because Howe is a MAJOR problem in the transfer market. He’s got ZERO imagination.
@@PAB86 it really is a mess isn't it when you think about it, on and off the field it's so disjointed and haphazard, with no real plan! It's like it's spread from the transfer window to the training ground and onto the pitch. He really doesn't know if he wants a shit or a haircut at the moment!
Yea Tonali played full 90 for Italy which must of fatigued him... but we pay his fecking wages so he should be playing 90 mins for us not Italy! Also how do we know that it isn't a decision from Bunce because of last seasons injury PTSD
@@Cristobal_2012 it's so easy to fix if he was willing to draw up a plan b and plan c, lol like you seen me comment yesterday its Plan A or no way and i stick by that, and thats why we wont progress, if things arent working for half decent managers they start using tactical mindsets and start dabbling with different formations especially during a game where they need a goal, its crazy the fact he even trys to protect a 1- 0 defeat thats what it looks like. It's outrages to see man im not sure why other people can't see these things.
Isak, Bruno, Gordon - these are supposed to be our crown jewels but they are looking very average this season. For me, none of them is unsellable. Big players are supposed to change matches and they don't often enough.
Still early days but I see Villa (mainly due to quality of coach) and Chelsea finishing above us. Not sure about Tottenham yet. Brighton and Man Utd will be close to us. It’s possible our winless run could extend past the Forest game. The Chelsea and Arsenal games will take a lot out of us physically and mentally.
Another toxic positivity MONG from this fanbase. Zero clue about football, nothing, these are the fans that claim Eddie is our most successful manager since Bobby robson but totally forget that pardew also took us to Europe and didn’t spend hundreds of millions to do it.
@@SaturnusDK it's been 10 games mate, which includes a lot of draws against poor opposition. But I don't think people are "throwing toys" just cos of this one game, it's been below par for a while, home and away
Nice cherry picking. During the same stretch our away form has been atrocious. Fact is we’ve been off since the season started and it doesn’t seem to be getting better
What annoys me most is half the fanbase make out like you can’t criticise Howe… the bloke has spent near £450m in three seasons and we can’t score a goal. We only seem to play well when we come up against an opposition that keep the ball (Spurs & Man City) which just shows an underdog mentality, and when a team let us have the ball (like Everton and Brighton) people say “we played well today”, but we didn’t, those teams just setup to let us have the ball because they know we’re crap with it. I just can’t see how Howe comes back from this run because it’s not like luck has gone against him, he’s actually been very lucky with the points we have on the board, we’ve genuinely been one of the worst sides in the league this season.
@@hjc9912 but but but he's saved us from relegation and got us in the champion league and don't forget turned joelinton (who cost £40m btw) into a.. £40m player!
Just wonder if 4231 should be something we try... Tonali played in Milan in a double pivot would allow him and Bruno to have a one go one sit partnership. Joelinton or Longstaff can cover here. Gordon on the left, Joelinton can also play on the left, or Barnes depending on the game. or play Gordon as a 10, Isak if Wilson is fit to play CF, or even Willock. Just think getting another player in an attacking position is what is needed. Would also get us higher up the pitch on our press.
This team currently feels and looks like a stale and tired outfit. I really hate being critical as i don't think there is much point in doing so unless it is constructive but how in the heck do we still have NO right winger after 3 years of the takeover happening? we have harvey barnes who is so one dimensional it is unbelieveable and if you add to that blue chip players looking out of form (bruno, gordon, isak) then it just spells trouble. I don't know what the answer is apart from signing new players and giving this team a chance moving forwards but that isn't a quick fix. there seems to be about half a dozen issues both on and off field but i just think it boils down to the summer business! we stood still and now we are paying for it
The fact that some fans are so desperate for howe to be the chosen one is absolutely hilarious. 4 and half games with no goal from open play. Probably the kindest start weve had in years. Eddie and his favourites need to be cut loose. We are going backwards rapidly. Nobody in that team has any composure to find the net, the midfield can't pass to the forwards, they just constantly turn possession over, the defence run like they are towing a caravan, the goalkeeper is worse than my 6 year old neice with the ball at his feet, we have a right side that is a parody its so bad and we have a manager so rigid in his formation that isn't working and didn't work so many times last season to but he just continues with it no matter what. Newcastle are totally done with howe, there is no more excuses, he has persisted with bruce rejects that wouldn't get in any other Premier league team to the expense of the club, offering contracts to footballers that woukd struggle to find a club in the football league. The saudis a prolonging the inevitable. Howe out
@@maxwilliams1060 We have a manager who constantly cries about PSR in the media and claims that’s the reason for our bad transfer window but fails to mention he’s the reason we had PSR problems, he demands over priced English and/or injury prone dross which is crippling us in regards to PSR, he wanted us to blow £70M on 1 bang average defender just because he had an English passport when the reality is that £70M could be spread on 3 or 4 top quality young players from Europe to pack out our squad depth. Bournemouths signings have significantly improved since Howe left, what a coincidence!! Let’s not forget the utter shambles of a mess that Howe has made of our captain situation, we currently have Lascelles as “club captain”, Bruno as the armband wearing captain, trippier as vice captain, burn as vice captain, and Schar as a vice captain. It’s an absolute MESS!!!! 2 weeks ago Howe admitted he wanted to keep Wilson because “he’s a laugh in training” - not one journalist pulled him up on this, NOT ONE!! This is crippling us meaning we have to play Gordon as a striker just so Howe can keep his mates at the club. Howe also left Bournemouth as he didn’t agree with them getting a new DOF, he didn’t like Ashworth and has caused havoc with Mitchell yet the happy clappers think Howe isn’t the problem.
All the possession we looked like a mid table team i know the slogan is as long as the team tries its not going to work the owners will not put up with it early days see what happens
It reminded me of 2 seasons ago when Miggy got sorted. Ie. Make him turn on his bad foot. Now, it seems that other teams know how to combat our 4-3-3 that nullifies our MF. It shouldn't given the quality level.
Him in the green shirt is the most deluded bloke I’ve ever heard. Can’t even listen to him, he’s infuriating. He’s literally just said “our corners were bad cause we missed trippier” - is he for real? We haven’t scored from a corner in about 18 month. Trippiers free kicks have been shambolic for 2 years. This is the utter delusion and toxic positivity I want out of this fanbase, it’s bizzare.
Couldn’t agree more mate, another happy clapper who probably talks about the credit ‘Eddie’ has in the bank and all that shite, his type basically like to feel superior by the standing by the manager pose, it’s that attitude that means this club is going nowhere fast, sentimental fans who live in the past, in howes case, stop living in 21/22, you’re only as good as your last and current season, and we’ve been poor for a long old while now. Howes tactics are rigid, he has no plan B, he’s the reason we have no marks like longstaff and almiron running about because he insisted on keeping them when any manager with sense would’ve given them the Spanish archer a couple of years back. Claudio R won Leicester the EPL title and they didn’t hesitate to get rid when it clear things weren’t going well, the club - including the outgoing Amanda S and her lad - take blame for acting as if Howe walks on water and placating him for so wrong. It’s frustrating but just right off this season, the board seem disinterested in making any change, and this season will now just drift, we’ll finish around mid table or upper bottom half under Howe, I tell you right now they will not sack him, mainly thanks to sanctimonious, delusionals like the guy you mention on here

If people think another manager will take this squad further are mad! Eddie has improved some players and we haven't brought anyone else in to improve the team. He isn't a magician! Murphy was crap so if miggy comes on everyone would slate him for it. We don't have a strong bench.
It was crazy, we've been in their box 45 times, just ran out of ideas for the most, add, that cup game v Wimbledon and the league game v Everton, swarming around and inside the 18 yard box but not the nous to deliver the final ball again and again, we could be in third place in the league quite easily. And why wasn't Miley used for at least 20 mins, if he's fit enough for the bench he's fit enough for 20 odd mins, he is not wasteful on the ball like a lot of the others and can see that killer ball, Eddie pulled rank and put Longstaff and Miggy on, really poor decision's I've got to say.
My problem is, I feel anxious all the time. I never know who is going to start, who is surprisingly missing from the matchday squad. Worst of all I have absolutely no idea what subs are going to be made. Also no real pattern or assurance with transfers. All makes for an unpleasant experience.
Do you not think Howe has took us as far as he can he's a great mid table team manager but if Yassir wants us to be number Uno I think we need to move on from Howe he's To Predictable one Dimensional doesn't have a plan B is to Loyal to Bang average players and is very Stubborn also his Tactics are very Strange at times why he wont change from 433 to a 4231 a double pivot system with Bruno as a 6 Tonali as a 8 and J7 to play alongside Bruno with Gordon on left and Barnes on the Right with Isak up top with Tonali just behind in the 8 so Isak is not Isolated but Howe Doesn't know any other than the Trusted 433 and this Loyalty to Longstaff has to Stop i hope Mitchell puts his foot down and does not Renew his Contract as he's Not good enough for us now and id get Rid of Wilock aswell as he's lost his pace is bang average and always Injured
We are living with having had 3 inept transfer windows which leaves us stale & predictable. Yes Eddie made some mistakes yesterday but he doesn’t do the shopping
@@MarkWeir-cr5tk Jesus this sums up the happy clappers! Eddie Howe wanted Guehi or NOBODY. Mitchell has even came out and stated he didn’t interfere with anything when he came in, he allowed Howe to have his own way and Howe only wanted Guehi and nobody else because “they had to be the right players”. This is all Eddie Howe’s fault. Sooner you realise, the better. The club backed him bidding £70M for the player he wanted.
Eddie is too loyal to players but in his defence, he doesn’t have a choice as he’s stuck with Longstaff and Miggy etc. Unless he gives younger lads a chance. iMO Miles should be given chances from the bench instead of Longstaff now, As much as I like Longstaff he’s had his chances now
Tired of Eddie inking in substitutions before the match even begins ! Also, I demand that this podcast is re-recorded but with the letter “T” in use, otherwise re christen Charloe and scrap the English alphabet 😉
Eddie out ‘fans’ hate appreciating context so here it is.. our gross spending over the last 3 yrs is 10th in the league.. we are 16th in net spending for the 2024 windows which has left us with a freebie and a st Eddie clearly doesn’t trust yet. He got us champions league and a cup final in his first season (yes let’s add this to the equation and not discount this as ‘the past’). He got us in the top 7 in his second season with the worst injury record in the league. YES we should critique tactics and draw attention to clear mistakes from the management staff. But NO we shouldn’t get rid of an incredibly gifted manager and ‘get someone else’. Who in this fffp climate is going to come to the club? Eddie out minges r the type of ppl to turn fifa career mode onto begginer difficulty and think they could manage Newcastle to a champions league.. shocking delusion
