Majora's Mask 3D Restoration Mod + HD Texture Pack Tutorial 

Thank you so much for this video!! I played Majora's Mask on the N64 growing up, and over break, I decided to download an emulator. I had no idea where to start, but from this video and some Reddit browsing, I was able to start playing the game again! This tutorial was super helpful & you were really good at making each step easy to follow.

This project is my go to counter point when people defend poor remakes that jettison what made the original appealing. A bunch of fans for free made the definitive version to one of the best games of all time, by taking a bastardized remake of it and simply unfucking it up. Almost every change is either remembering a QoL option nintendo refused to, or literally undoing dumb ideas they had that make the game play worse.

The method for installing the texture pack I used is actually slightly simplified and outdated. I decided to follow what the website said was easier to do for the video. If you click on "MM3DHD.zip" on this page: github.com/DeathWrench/MM3DHD/releases/tag/0.0.32 you'll get the latest release for the texture pack. To actually use it, you have to sift through the different folders in the MM3DHD.zip download for each texture variant you want to use and put the specific folders/files into the custom texture folder in Citra. They can all be at the top of the custom texture folder, there's no actual organization you really need to do, but you still need to make sure you have all the ones you want in there. This is how you can fix the HD title screen texture. I didn't feel like putting this in the video, mostly cuz I was rushing late at night, had work the next day, and was very tired from work that day, and I used the texture pack that way myself without knowing I had done something wrong and was pretty much satisfied with the progress. This is a flaw with the tutorial though, so I'll be leaving this in the pinned comment for anyone who has questions about using texture variants, updates, or getting the title screen to work properly.

They should make one for ocarina of time 3D. They could increase the damage of the deku stick jump attack to that of the N64 version, bring back crouch stab storage, improve the font and add character names to dialogue

Hey I did everything right but everytime I try to run the game it crashes before I even load the title any reason why?

I don't know how to get a game card into my computer l, and when I download the restoration project it doesn't come with the actual game.

Question, is there a way to have the HUD not HD? I have low fps on citra, upscaling the game reduces fps and HD textures don't look nice on native resolution

One question: I do have a home-brewed 3ds and an original cartridge of Majora's Mask. Is it possible for me to keep the cartridge game untouched and having a CIA with the modifications installed? (having them at the same time)

I have been attempting to do this with the 3ds with no result so far, could you make a guide or explain how one would do this with the real device? I would massively apreciate the effort if so, and if not do you know any guide that could help me with this?

I have an issue on citra. I have the feebback with the littre sound when the game open (before the majora's mask appear) but in game i haven't got any modification (no mask change with C pad, checkoint normal)...can you help me ? Thanks

i did everything right, i have the restoration mod and HUD set up. But my Citra wont load any custom textures. I have them in the right folder just like u did and i have use custom textures on, but it wont work.

Can you do a 3ds guide? There arent any video guides and the instructions are too complicated to me. update: i did it myself, it was easy, my problem was that the instructions were confusing to me.

Can someone just PLEASE for the love of god make a g'dam HUD UI for OoT3D already? It's been YEARS and we don't even got one. But we got a Free Cam mod instead. I'm grateful for the Free Cam mod but still. We need this bad. :( It would save allot of time and effort. I'll gladly donate if someone made a patron to make this mod happen. I know Henriko was doing one but we need one that's similar to Project Restoration HD Hud UI mod with the Heart textures and and Magic Meter. Would make life allot easier! :)
