Here is my whole workflow/process on taking my 3d printed mold and laying down the cf with all other elements. Vacuum bagging and infusing. Start to Finish. I am no pro and learning as I go, but so far this process has been working for me with results I am happy with.

12:20-13:47 - Adding Flow Mesh
13:48-17:19 - Setting up Vacuum Bag and Hoses
17:20-27:04 - Vacuum Bagging the Mold
27:05-32:59 - Finding leaks and finalizing Vacuum Bag

I have a tip that will make your life 10x better. Use freeze spray before removing the gummy tape. It will leave no residue and the tape will come off in one clean piece. Thank me after you try it out. :)

@@scurtudarius2051 Thank you!! I just ordered a can. Not the one you use but another freezer spray thats also labeled as "Mould Release". Looking forward to trying!!! Appreciate the advice!

@@poltdesigns no worries. 👌 you should also move towards prepreg. Much easier and cleaner to use.

I would instinctually reach for a heat gun to relax the adhesive… I wouldn’t have guessed that freezing would work as well.

I watched trying to figure out how your fender was going to inflate ( I was thinking boat fender)

hey man! awesome vid. Been following this as a tutorial to figure out what to purchase to get my own vacuum infusion setup going. Would you be able to put up some links to the materials you used? Mainly the digital vacuum gauge, and the actual vacuum and hoses/connectors. I was able to find the resin and stuff on US Composites. Thanks!

Your part looks great! Did you clear coat the part before you showed the final, polished part?

@@hunterjames5819 yeap. 2 sessions of clear. First one was a base to level out. Second was final shell with wetsand.

@@poltdesigns Does the 3d spray adhesive leave any sort of residue on the surface? I can't see if it leaves small marks on video

@@hunterjames5819 so the 71 is a lot more friendly than 77 but def does leave something if abused. I try to be super minimal with it but sadly its still there. Wetsanding the cf layer does help remove most of it but once cleared its really hard to see.

@@poltdesigns OK thank you! I currently use super 77 but I would like to try something different.

@@hunterjames5819 ya 71 is made for composite and a lot more forgiving. 77 is just too sticky for my liking and the nozzle doesnt mist like the 71 does.
