Fascinating! I really like the way you explain and demonstrate. It seems easy to follow. I am a fairly new quilter. I am making 13 quilts for my grandkids. I need lots of fun ideas. Thank you for sharing this with us. 😊🎉❤
Fabulous! Love it. Love that you tricked out an already tricked out block. I see that you are a Martelli user, I won't use anything but a Martelli cutter, they are awesome.
Depends on your machine. Singer machines allow sewing over pins.(my comment not Singer's) I have never broken a pin. My current is a Singer One Plus ..wonderful machine. Not fussy about which thread you use as some machine.
Patsy Carpenter I sewed on a70s Singer for 35 years and sewing over pins didn't bother it. Sewed into my finger twice. Lots of quilts...55 quilts in 92 and stopped counting. I use a Janome and doesn't bother it but rarely use pins these days. Many machines more challenged by lint and not changing out needles often enough and bent needles can be trouble...clicking away unnoticed.
A really interesting Block. I have it bookmarked so I can find it again. Thanks. Also, am going to look for the forked pins you used. Question: the rotary cutter you used was very unusual. Does it have a special purpose and what is the name of it?
