What you did with that band saw is simply genius. You figured out, visualized and conceptualized the transformation. WOW !!! Truly an impressive mod. Nuff Respect !!!
*Making a hardwood fence for the miter makes all the difference **MyBest.Tools** Tune the saw with a combination square. Adjust the laser so its in line.😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣See the photos.Every part in this saw is adjustable.😎😭*
great job! As many have said, you can translate what you see in your mind to what you want in your shop. One addition might be a pair of bearings to support the blade during cutting. Thanks for sharing this! Doug
Thx. I just broke out my 20+ y/o Milwaukee band saw and need to make a stand for it (physically, not metaphorically). As my local steel scrapyard is no longer selling 'scrap' to retailers, I need to think about building with wood. OT: pls use lubricant/cutting fluid when drilling/milling steel. :)
I literally have the same saw, drill, impact driver, and screw driver. LOL!I don't sing well though. Great job on the build. I created mine from an old 4x4 angled to 10 degrees, screwed it to a 2x10, then put two 1/2 inch pieces of all thread near the top to hold the front handle. Once it is set in there, I put a strap around the motor and screwed it to the 4x4. I am going to attempt your guide table next. You gave me some wonderful ideas. Thank you.
Okay but I'm trying to mount my portable bandsaw cause I don't have many large shop tools. Like another band saw that you used to make your bandsaw mount... Would love to see some shop hacks for the less equip.
You are an excellent craftsman and you have a good voice. Might try some commentary at some point...helps us understand your concepts. Not being critical, do what is best for you. Appreciate your content. :-)
Looks like Harbor Freight did an upgrade to some of their tools, and changed the names. The Bauer stuff looks a step up from what they used to have like that, and the range is wider, having rotary hammers and jack hammers.
Great video. You can use ur benchtop bandsaw to build a 🦿 in case you lose your foot from wearing open toed sandals, no gloves, and no goggles in your shop - 😂 😂 😂 (Just kidding stay safe I’m guilty of occasionally doing the same thing but not often)
I mean I wish they would show a video that didn't involve a actual band saw because I'm trying to build a bandsaw table because I don't have a bandsaw I just have a portaband so how am I supposed to do that
for the price you can't beat this saw. it cuts through steel like butter even with the included blade. the only reason to get other brand names is bragging right.
FWIW, you can buy a bandsaw from Home Depot for $120 without all the extra work. I'm sure the quality is better than Harbor freight as well. Seems like your talents could be better spent elsewhere IMO.
yes, but you can't remove a few screws and then use it as a portable again. Also, from the looks of it I'd say it comes from the same factories as some of Harbor's stuff.
