Thank you Joshua for a great job!!! I am a new TickTick user and this is my first contact with task apps. I love this type of short and content-packed video. Clear and concise. Greetings from Poland!
Hmm, did you try shift-TAB? Sometimes going backwards gets you to something much faster. All in all, I've not been impressed by TickTick's keyboard support. What particularly galls me is that normal keyboard shortcuts don't work in Eisenhower view, e.g., CMD-SHIFT-M to mark task complete. 😭
🎯 Key points for review: 00:31 *⌨️ You can add key information to a task while creating it in TickTick using keyboard shortcuts.* 00:44 *🗓️ Keyboard shortcut "Shift + 8" (asterisk) lets you add a due date to your task.* 01:25 *✴️ Use keyboard shortcut "Shift + 1" (exclamation point) to add a priority level to your task.* 02:07 *🏷️ "Shift + 3" (pound key) is the keyboard shortcut allowing you to add a tag to your task. You can create new tags using this shortcut too.* 03:04 *📋 You can select the list for your new task using keyboard shortcut "Shift + `" (tilde) or "Shift + 6" (up arrow).* 04:01 *🔄 Quick overview: "Shift + 8" for due date, "Shift + 1" for priority, "Shift + 3" for tags, and "Shift + `" or "Shift + 6" for list selection.* 04:15 *✅ Once all key information is added using shortcuts, hit the enter key to create your new task.* 04:56 *🚀 These 4 powerful shortcuts can streamline your task-creation process in TickTick, reducing the need to use your mouse.* Made with HARPA AI You can also type to quick search the drop down list. It's worth your time to watch the video.
Now I remembered why I don't use the keyboard. Whenever I use either one of those, they were still on the task after I pressed "enter". Now I just tried it and only the tag stayed and the rest disappeared. I'm not sure why though. Did I press the space one too many or what? TFS, Nicole
Within the Settings (in the web app) - under Preference -> Smart Recognition - there is an option called Tag Recognition which allows you to decide if you want to leave the tag in the task name or not.
