I'm glad I decided to follow you, your videos are great and honestly. They're getting better and better. Your channel is going to be big one day, just keep hustling and let us subscribers have your back. F the trolls and losers in the comments. We know why you post what you post, we love it, we understand it. Let those losers stay in their own lane behind their keyboards. Keep up the great work Mike!

Thank you. I started this RU-vid channel to help people. I wish years ago I had someone like myself that could have gave me a lot of information to help me get to where I am now faster.. But RU-vid wasn't a thing. The internet was not around. I had to go by trial and error. I've made a lot of mistakes. Only because of not knowing how to do things the easy way.. So anybody that I help out makes me feel that much better

I'll be honest with you. I've been really considering quitting RU-vid because it has been so hard and time consuming. I have so much work that I have to get done in the day. That filming and hours of editing and everything else that goes along with it just makes it so much harder. For very little return.. But I really like helping people So many people told me that I've helped them. And that's what keeps me going that they've started making money. I gave them new pathways to make revenue and these hard times and that's what makes me happy And makes it all worth it

Shop around and call different scrapyards. Why you're material? So you can give them exactly how much you have of each.. And don't. Worry about traveling. I would search about an hour from where you are. Don't get ripped off and give the stuff away, guys

The last 3 minutes talking about being a business man not a scrapper and all the tips is so clutch. Some people like us love working for ourselves and enjoy the money that comes from scrap. Scrappers have such a bad stigma behind them but our work ethic is wildly above so many other peoples that it's insane. At least for us that run it as a business.

How do you come across all this copper? I work on a trash truck and get about $100-$150 a week off random copper I find.
@Adventureswithmike1
@Adventureswithmike1 2 месяца назад
I pick up for plumbing and heating Companies and also air conditioning Repair companies and I take away all their junk systems.. Take it back to my shop and rip all the copper out.. I've been doing it for 25 years and I have awesome connections.
@cotywagnon
@cotywagnon 2 месяца назад
@@Adventureswithmike1 oh I see. How’d you get that going with those companies? Seems like the ones around here do the recycling themselves. If not I’m definitely gonna try to get it with them and start hailing off their junk if I can.
@Adventureswithmike1
@Adventureswithmike1 2 месяца назад
@cotywagnon That's the $250000 a year question. lol In some areas, it is easier than others. I live out in a rural area And there's no local scrapyard. All the material has to be hauled over an hour away. So most places just wanna get rid of it and move on to the next job. Everybody asks me the same question

Hello Mike, I have been watching your videos for while now and I think that you should do some math. The video I just saw you had 7600 pounds of scrap at 208 per ton.. It doesn't adf up right on the scrap yard ticket. You better refigure, your losing money. Just saying.
@Adventureswithmike1
@Adventureswithmike1 3 месяца назад
The price for shred/ tin is $208 And that is a gross ton. Which is 2240 pounds and the weight was 7080lbs not 7600
@robw505

Soo, elephant in the room... who's scale is off? Yours or the yards?
@Adventureswithmike1
@Adventureswithmike1 3 месяца назад
My scale only goes to 440 lbs. So my copper was giving me a weird reading. Because you have to remember 96 gallon. Toter itself weighs 30 pounds. And all the weights they had was with the containers weight off . .
@robw505
@robw505 3 месяца назад
@Adventureswithmike1 Yeah, I periodically hop on the scale myself just to keep them honest
@Adventureswithmike1
@Adventureswithmike1 3 месяца назад
@robw505 My little scale is not calibrated for buying and selling. It's just to give a reference point.. See, scrapyards have to have expensive scales that have to be calibrated and checked because they are buying end selling
