It was awesome to hear your thought on the new CS scents! Im sure a lot of us are testing right now and hearing someone's feedback on the scents is good to know. Our scale of favorites may be a tad different though...at least right now. Apricot and Eucalyptus are at the top but I'm still testing and want to try a wick up on a few.

Awesome video. I am just getting into candle-making. My sister bought a new house and I thought it would be lovely to send her some candles. I also thought the process would be as simple as melting wax, adding fragrance and color but have discovered that there’s a whole science behind making the perfect candle. A lot more goes into it than I had originally thought. Your videos have been tremendously helpful in learning about this process so thank you for all the knowledge. Your videos are so helpful.

I would guess it is "Coconut Soleil" pronounced "So- lay". I'd assume it is French for sun. So "Coconut Sun". You pronounced it right at the end! :) This is similar to how I test my fragrances too. I usually don't like the lack of cold throw and hot throw sometimes, but I do think it might be I have "candle nose" where nothing smells strong at all because I'm so used to smelling it out of the bottle or when I'm melting a bunch of wax. Very informative video on the testing process!

Hey Mari. There really isn't a best wax... or wick. It all depends what you are looking for and care the most about. I'm about to post s video next week on several of my favorites though if you want to check out. But it really depends on what factors matter most to you.. :)

No. Only certain wicks really need that long. But even if using a wax like that, by the time you make, it sits in your possession for a couple days, then the days it takes to ship. That's like a week already

I noticed that you don't use a double boiler as many candle makers do, but direct heat. Your hotplate doesn't look like the conventional burner that you find at Wal-mart. What brand is it?

Hi Thomas, this is our first year in candle making. Normally we cure our candles for 2 weeks. Do u cure yours? If yes, how long? Does it make really a big difference? Im just asking because I’m afraid from winter season…where we have mich higher demand on our candles. How can I prepare the right amount? In different jar sizes 😒

Could be just the air flow in the living room. Happens to me too. More vents means more air circulation through ventilation and can easily affect how much lingers in the room

Beeswax can be a bit tricky a wax for a beginner. I find it robs fragrance no matter what I do. Also, it’s hard to clean up if you spill. And I agree with Wade, PB 600 a good wax to try. Performs very well-soy/paraffin blend.

@@sassynyc7327 LoVe Beef does not want to use paraffin. I find you have to cure Beeswax 4 weeks or more to smell FO. Also use a separate pot for beeswax. Just a thought ! The smell of the Beeswax alone is Heavenly PeAcE
