You should definitely check out their last album “How To Survive A Funeral”, the whole thing just rips. ALL of it. One of my top 3 albums of 2020. My favorite tracks off it are That’s Just Life, Drown With Me, and Bones.

One of the coolest things about MTS is how they've evolved and have just been killing it every step of the way. Sean is just an absolutely PHENOMENAL lyricist and two albums that are my absolute favorites are Neverbloom and Old Souls. I HIGHLY recommend those two albums and try to solve Sean's puzzles while you're at it!

You ought to check out their album "Neverbloom" they were full on Deathcore then and have gone more to the Metalcore side in recent years. They have a really good discography.

Neverbloom is definitely my favorite, though they are still dropping positively destructive tracks (albeit not in the same way). Hands down MTS is my all-time favorite band.

I don’t revisit reaction videos too often but this is my 2nd time watching and it just puts a smile on my face. yeah im no spider expert (just Australian) but Mr Long Legs did look like a Huntsman to my eye and we do have them over here in Bestern Australia, they are actually real sweethearts and benign, if a bit unnerving due to their dinnerplate size. Loving seeing the recognition for some guys from my local scene with this release too. I reckon this song has a little bit of everything from their back catalogue as they evolved over time (especially with the line up changes over their stretch so far as you noted) so is a great jumping off point imo. Awesome reaction as always Tank

They filmed this video in Melbourne at the beginning of the year. I don’t know why Jaya and J-Mann (bassist and drummer) aren’t in the video but I’m assuming they couldn’t travel to the location because of Covid reasons. I know Courtney is based in the US so I’m assuming she filmed and recorded her parts there. A few more MTS songs to check out are; Hollowed Heart, Widower, Ether, Fireworks, Save Me, Blood Moon, Bones, Erase Me and Fake.

I see a lot of people suggesting "Erase Me" (and rightly so), but I think "That's Just Life" is much more interesting instrumentally, especially in the second half of the song. "Erase Me" definitely has a catchy-ness to it but as a guitarist the riffs in "That's Just Life" strike me more.

Yep, another Aussie band.. we belt out some pretty awesome bands down here! This collab isn't really due to both being Rise Records even though I guess that does help, it's a happy coincidence. Courtney has been friends with the band for years, having toured with them, and even had Booka (the female vocalist) on her podcast earlier in the year. If you want to take a punt on a smaller Aussie metal band, give Mirrors - Beneath the Sand a shot. They've supported the likes of Alphawolf, Thornhill, Devil Wears Prada, etc :) Hope you and the family are doing well mate.

Booka Nile is the female vocalist in the band, she's an amazing musician. I'd have put them at the heavier end of metalcore - they used to be more deathcore. You should check out their last album "How to survive a funeral", and the single before that "Hollowed Heart". They are a full complement including drummer 🙂 such a massive track 🤘🤘

Hi I'm hella late but Make Them Suffer is literally something else. I've been following them for a long time, and while I still favor Neverbloom/Lord of Woe, I love everything they've done. If I don't like a release I just revisit it a bit later and it makes more sense. They're awesome.

I have never suffered through a MTS song...this was one of the bands that got me into screams as Sean uses it so well to colour the songs as well as for the lyrics. the huntsman spider is a staple of Aus. Often found in our houses, they don't build webs and are brilliant for vermin control. Their "bark" is worse than their bite" I have picked quite a few smaller ones up to cart outside as they can be quite distracting once they start to get large and they like running across ceilings and when they lose their traction and fall on your head or lap they do give you quite the surprise!!

Very surprised given our similar backgrounds that you hadn’t listened to these guys before, but hey, I’m glad you enjoyed them. I’ve jammed them since the beginning and their first albums “Lord of Woe” and “Neverbloom” are straight up symphonic deathcore, absolutely massive and powerful records. “Old Souls” came after “Neverbloom” and leaned more towards metalcore, then they were pretty much all in after that with “Worlds Apart” and “How To Survive A Funeral”. Another stellar example of top notch Australian metal, I’m sure you’d agree lol. Great video dude. Hope they get out more material soon for us to digest!

@@TankTheTech Makes sense I guess, touring musicians have always mentioned that they don’t listen to stuff within their genre on tour, like metal and hardcore bands would listen to softer stuff or hip hop to counterbalance all the heavy they’re surrounded by lol. Also since I know you love Spiritbox and now dig these guys, Courtney’s podcast “Good for a Girl” has an episode with Booka, it was kind of like a precursor to this song I feel like.

Definitely check out the Worlds Apart and How To Survive A Funeral albums by these guys. Those are the two albums Booka has appeared on since she joined. Their older stuff is not to be slept on either though, it’s the heavier deathcore you were expecting and is fire. HTSAF is full of bangers and in my top 5 albums of 2020, so I suggest that should be your starting point Tank

I think at the time of filming this some states in australia were closing borders due to corona, so I don't k ow where the other members live regarding state wise, but yeah the ozzy metal bands
