Traditionally puliyodharai is made with tamarind. Tamarind increases pitta and is heating for the liver. In this video i have used amla and kokum both are which cooling for the body.

INGREDIENTS
Spice Powder :
Coriander Seeds - 1 tbsp
Red chilly - 3 No’s
Kashmiri Red chilly - 3 No’s
Pepper corns - 1 tsp
Channa dal- 11/2 tbsp
Urad dal - 1 tbsp
Fenugreek seed - 1/2 Tsp
Sesame seeds - 1 tbsp
AMLA PULIKACHAL
Amla - 8
cooked kokum pods - 7 -8 no( • amla & kokum | amla pa... )
Peanut oil
Mustard -1 Tsp
Channa dhal- 1/2 tbsp
Urad dhal- 1/4 tbsp
Asafoetida- 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Pink Salt - to taste
Jaggery- 1 Tsp

Yes. Sesame oil i avoid if there is any skin issue so thats why peanut oil. But definitely sesame oil can be used.
