How long do those M2 HSS knives last? I've a fair amount of pine paneling and flooring to make and am wondering if I should go with the carbide tipped ones...
I think the biggest problem is sap. if you keep the steels clean, they will last a long time. so if you not while run extremely much, hss goes a long way.
no, I have a fairly large dust collector. I really don't want to blow out the heat I have in the workshop, during the summer I have a pipe so I can blow out the shavings. but collect often, than I sell the shavings to animal owners in the area
