I thought these connectors were expensive until I saw the price of the crimping tool needed for Cat6a. OK they are expensive but for small jobs requiring a 10Gb backbone with two connectors they are excellent value and so easy to install compared to shielded RJ45 Cat6a.

The connectors used here are Telegärtner MFP8, and they can be purchased a few places online.

You're welcome. Yes, it is possible to use Telegärtners again. Not all network cables are suitable for these connectors. The diameter of the conductors must be sufficient to make good contact. Thanks for the comment. It depends on the cores of the network cable if you can use these Telegärtner connectors. But, yes, you can carefully remove the connectors.

what about the ground wire? do we connect the ground wire to both ends?

Officially yes, but you can also decide to connect the ground wire to one end, it doesn't matter which. We tried both, the audible difference is negligible.
