Simplicity 5588 was absolutely amazing on you. That was my favorite Love the fabric. My least favorite wast the colors block skirt. But you sew it very nicely. You did amazing job.

Love that white/black loose weave ensemble! The California coast is pretty long, if you go to the north have something long sleeved for evenings just in case!

Lovely outfits as usual you'll look great on your trip. You might want to try a ruffler foot and I'm sure your vintage Kenmore has one available. I don't mind doing hand sewing either but there is so much ruffled stuff now in fashion it saves a lot of time and it does a very even job.

Hay girl! How have you been. A vacation I hope. Be careful, but have fun. California!!!!!! I used to live in Ventura, 70 miles north of LA. California is wonderful. You can grow the most beautiful flowers there, it seems to have the most wonderful weather, I loved it, but expensive, that’s mainly why I left and really crowded, don’t miss that. If you get a chance, go to San Diego, used to live there too, really beautiful. Have a blast. As far as your clothes, you always, always do the most beautiful work. Everything looks great. I’m excited for you too. 😀😀😀😀

I have been sewing for 60 yrs. and a long time ago I started doing the neck facing and sleeves after the shoulder seams. It makes life so much easier! Love all your outfits.

You got 5 home runs with these makes. I love the pants and top done in black and white! I also love the colorful fabric in the last outfit. My preference would have been leaving the elastic off the top’s waist. Still really cute on you. Hope you have a wonderful vacation. We all need vacations. We just got back from our 50th Anniversary cruise to Alaska. So much fun!

Love the black and white outfit-looks so breezy and cool for summer! The floral top and skirt are really cute and flirty❤

Loved each piece! Sometime try the 1/4 in elastic at the top of waistband. I think you’ll be surprised at how nice it feels. After buying a rtw pair of pants that had that type of elastic and loving it, I’ve since sewn several the same way! I even do it at the top of jeans I make.
