Loved this! I want to mention what I learned in a color analysis... There is a common misconception that all olive skin has warm undertones. There are a lot of people who have cool olive skin, like myself. My undertone is cool blue and my surface tone is yellow, which creates the olive effect. Wearing warm colors and/or gold jewelry makes me look sallow, while soft cool tones and silver jewelry liven up my complexion. It was life changing discovering this and feeling so much more confident now that I've adjusted my wardrobe and makeup accordingly!!
I'm medium dark skin, I'm also olive cool, I look terrible in yellow, warm colours and yellow golds. My veins are green lol... But the ones I can see in my palms are blue purple.
I love that you ladies are addressing mature skin. I have dry mature skin at 59. I used a lot of cream products. I have the NARS and Haus Labs among many other foundations, but every foundation settles in my chin wrinkles and primers don’t seem to help, but thank you for all of these great ideas. Love Gabi💕💕💕 and thank you to this other lovely young lady for helping the mature community💕💕💕
Please do a video on best makeup shades/colors for those with neutral skin tones. People say its easy because we can wear so much, but its not. Too pinky shades or those too orange look terrible. I end up buying multiple shades of items before I find the right one. This gets expensive. LOVE your videos.
That will be quite a challenge because every brand is different and most don’t even get the cool and warm tones right, leaning too yellow or straight up orange. Neutrals are even harder to find. Seems every brand leans warm and not even a good skin tone warm or undertone. Cool tones with the right undertone is nearly impossible to find, so accurate neutrals shades are even harder to find. I don’t understand why it’s so hard for brands to do. Same with brow products for blonde/grey.

Jeans with a brown blouse or sweater is so amazing together. Either dark wash to light wash denim works well the colour brown even wearing brown accessories is amazing too!

I absolutely adore Niki and now I found you thru her! I have never seen a makeup artist other than Lisa Eldridge and Katy Jane Hughes be so meticulous with application and blending than Niki and it definitely shows in her end product.

This collab q &a with Nicki La Rose was so good. Gabi was such an amazing host and interviewer…..lots of listening, no interruptions while Nicki was talking and just the right amount of back and forth conversing with lots of good information. I missed this live 😢We’ve had an ice storm this week and our wifi has been spotty because of it! I’ve been watching/learning from Nikki for the past several months and I love her so much!! I am 70 years young so I don’t do ‘glam’ anymore, but her makeup education and product reviews are so very helpful❣️ I also have been watching you, Gabi, and love how you address my mature generation~we still love makeup and want to look good! Looks like many style and make up influencers are friends with each other and with Lisa J who is also a make up influencer and BK Beauty is her company- every influencer for clothes and make I have watched that include make up tutorials market BK Beauty brushes and Lisa J is a ‘guest’ influencer on so many channels and many influencers are guests doing collaborations on her channel. I enjoy reading comments and starting to recognize influencers commenting on other influencers threads. It’s pretty cool.
Nikki La Rose filmed a video a few months back on how she cleans her makeup brushes and it's quite simple (a bowl of water mixed with dawn, and a makeup cleaner mat if needed - that's it).
I do my “test” makeups right before taking my dog for the evening training session 🐶. It has been working amazing, and is a good testing time: Rain Wind Dust Sweat Snow Fog Nose wiping Touching the face Laughing Different lights depending on what exactly we do And a lot more And after 2-3 hours of training outing, and then until bed time it will be roughly total of 5-6 hours, which is perfectly fine to test majority of products.
