I completely agree with peacockealot (below) about the professionalism of your videography-and the intriguing ways you craft your lures. BUT, we are never shown how this jerk bait looks/performs in the water! That's what I (and, I feel certain, other lure makers) want to see most!

nice work! lure looks awesome! that featherlite stuff looks like good stuff to me. I may have to get some of it. if it already has the micro baloons in it to make it float,that is one less step I would need to do. the stuff I use now I have to add the micro baloons. it is still good stuff as it is fully cured in 5 min,with a very short pot life after mixing. tonight I made a brand new lure mold after shaping a piece of dowel stick,and using silicon putty to mold around it. I already got a new lure molded,added weight, and it floats good in a cup of water. I just have to paint it,and put a coat of UV resin over it,and it's good to go,as I dressed a treble for it. tight lines!

I've never worked with such resin , ...just wondering , whether it's not possible to twist the screw eyes into pilot holes of thread core diameter,......or the cured resin would turn out too brittle or , ....on the other hand , ....too dense to do so ? The pvc tape around the screw in eyes sound weak instead of just super glueing the screw eyes

If I wanted to make a mold of my favorite plastic bait in order to copy it what product would you suggest for the mold? And what product would you suggest to make the plastic lure?

Excellent vid! Now as part of your modeling ingredient, use WD40 (solvents and a hidden fish oil base), and you will have an eternal smelling artificial bait. Otherwise, after all done, then spray or dip in WD40 and you have a fish killer.

Have you experimented with recycled HDPE? or is it too dense for lures?

should Never put hooks on the belly...fish strike from the top,,,and mostly get hooked on the jaw,,,when you do underneath where they swallow its a throat mess..especially bad for catch n release
