This video tutorial shows me demonstrating how to do a type of free form casting called bean casting. It involves melting silver scrap and then pouring it over dry pinto beans. For the pendant, I connected two of the casting with small jump rings. . It includes a novel bail as well. The materials I used were: 18 gauge sterling silver round wire, 16 gauge sterling silver round wire, 14 gauge sterling round wire, 3/16 inch fine silver bezel strip in 28 gauge, some scrap silver. I use exclusively hard silver solder, and I use My-T-Flux from Rio Grande. I would rate this one as a beginner project. This video is a bit longer, but is a detailed tutorial, so I think it is worth the watch time. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others, as I've taught people for most of my life. This hobby turned into a fun side gig for me for years while I taught public school. I love suggestions and hearing about others' experiences. What is your favorite project?
