Had a customer ask about hay for this season. I never got to fill their request last year due to weather and lots of unknowns. But I promised them they would be get the first of any hay I baled. Worked out great , they only needed about 50-60, and we ended up with 57. Wasn't sure how the hay season would go, but so far I can't complain honestly. Was able to help myself with input cost, and a small homestead with good prices. Got to finally meet the whole family, and look fwd to supplying a little more if needed. #newholland #squarebales #hay #homestead #smallfarmer

We had 4 IH balers here a few years ago. 2 ran off engines and 2 pto. I’m fortunate enough my grandfather bought a round baler when I was about 3. Matt now that I think about it you would’ve liked the good square baler with the 4 cylinder engine on it. Maybe it was a Wisconsin?

Livestream. Just give me a heads up. Raised on a farm 47 years and don’t know much about square balers but always heard NH was one of the best in that era. I’m fortunate that my grandfather bought one of the first round balers in this area and never looked back. I hauled hay one time when I was a kid for my friend Craig’s parents.
@Pennies_on_the_dollar
@Pennies_on_the_dollar Месяц назад
I think it's about time for one😁 With the turn of events recently just has kind of had me in left field 😥 I was right the opposite, never really had been around a round baler. We spent so many summers riding a wagon and stacking cubes 😁 I tell ya though, it's a lost art for the small scale operations, help is so hard to find anymore and it's time consuming. If you have the right equipment, and enough acres to support the expense of wouldn't be bad. I tell ya I would bought a late model round baler if I was going to continue to do much hay. Especially now that I have the 1086 and loader. Ones like your grandpa really set in motion what we all see as a normal thing today 😁😁 Thank you Russ for always being here, I really appreciate that!! 😁😁👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🌾🌾🌱🌽🌽

Can't complain, that's been the normal since day one, usually about 35-40 in she will miss a tie...then it's all good afterwards 😉 I hope to get a lot more clearing done this winter and be able to put more time into my hay on the hillside!! I did have one, and actually the longer bale chute for my baler. But with the great customers I have , of all the cuttings I have only had to get it up once from the field.
