I thinks it’s absolutely cool that you sell the patterns and make it clear that you want people to make and sell them your one of a kind, I’m going to buy patterns in the morning
I’ve made a few patterns, and I can imagine how much thoughtful work you put into this design. Nicely done! Chicago screws are great for folks who need to work quietly. I’ve seen some that had Allen key slots vs the screwdriver slot, less risk of damaging your project if the screwdriver slips.
Would love to see a video of the full process of making a pattern: from idea/concept, prototyping, field testing, back to the drawing table and so on… until the design is ready ❤️ in sure so 2 thought and work goes into it, it would be very interesting to see!
I documented a lot of it in reels on my instagram account! Otherwise it'd be a 4 hour video haha! @CorterLeather if you'd like to follow along or watch them - I admittedly had to put my head down and focus so I didn't get the whole process, but most of it's there
Objectively, rivets will last a lot longer than stitching - I've had one rivet pop in 16 years, but plenty of stitching repairs. However I see what you're saying as far as subjective opinion goes, these are meant to be quick pieces to make and offer at a less expensive price point if you're doing markets and such. They fill in that lower price point where you may not have stitched product able to be priced, so with these you aren't leaving cash on the table for customers who can't afford the stitched version.
“Trying to get slim for the camera”. You don’t need to do all that for me. Love the videos and like you the way you are but if you feel better, go ahead
Aww, it was gonna be your holiday gift! In all seriousness, I just need to drop some weight cause I'm a real big dude and going into middle age I'd like to stay healthy :)
@@Corter I hear ya! I’m a large guy too and have my share of health issues. It’s always better to take care of yourself. Anyway I really enjoy your videos and you inspired me to get into leathercraft and that was without knowing what you looked like at all. Keep on keepin on my friend!
