This video tutorial shows me making a modern and bold sterling silver ring featuring a beautiful Emerald Cut Synthetic Ruby. The materials I used were: 18 gauge sterling sheet, 22 gauge sterling sheet, and 3/16 inch 26 gauge fine silver bezel strip. This one includes the basic steps to build an open backed bezel setting for a faceted stone. As always I am using exclusively hard silver solder, and I use My-T-Flux from Rio Grande. I would rate this one as an intermediate project. This video is a bit longer, but is a detailed tutorial, so I think it is worth the watch time. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others, as I've taught people for most of my life. This hobby turned into a fun side gig for me for years while I taught public school.
