I think those are Whitmore Farm stencils. I just discovered them. With great molds, a talented artist like Nate and some nice stencils you can't help but having awesome looking baits.

I was thinking a way to clear coat it. I was wondering: can it be a good idea to just submerge it for a second in some melted plastisol or will it come out just as a mess? Otherwise, what kind of clear coat could I use? I'm going crazy because of this!

Just a simple dual action gravity feed airbrush and compressor is all you need. I always recommend Badger airbrushes personally as they are great airbrushes and less expensive than some other brands.

Looked way more like a trout than a crappie, but nice try, Nate :) Should have used more green to start with and the larger stencil for the black spots in a more random pattern.
