Making an Impossible Base in Minecraft 

These portals are so immersive that I forgot I was actually building a bedroom in the Nether... it’s very good I didn’t test the bed! OH, and I left the promxix part in because it made me laugh. I guess my editing mistake is not making it clear that I intentionally left it in? ha!

Mumbo: "This is quite a _warm_ little bedroom here." Me: "Well, you _did_ build it in Hell, so..."

I love how he goes "I'm certain the redstone will work but I'm scared about the portals linking wrong" and then the redstone malfunctions but the portals are fine.

Friendly reminder that the portal frame as we know it is the "minimum" size, you can build them taller or larger for a more estheticaly pleasing effect, depending on your build

Try placing a bed in the Nether, really decorative

You have to come up with some kind of Scooby-Doo set up where you come in one door and out a different one in the same hallway. If you used a second account or a few other players to help record the whole chase it would be great. Either that or some kind of Escher set up.

Imagine building an infinite staircase with these portals

i completely feel you on how crazy this mod is, I love non-Euclidian geometry and this portal mod seems great at achieving that

You forgot one essential in every base: A functioning Nether portal for nether access.

Actually, the Immersive Portals isn't nearly as simple as you make it sound. You've completely overlooked the portal helper blocks and all of the Immersive Portals commands, including the one to put you in isometric view (no depth)

iirc, the mod has commands to create portals linking two locations in the same dimension so you could have put the bedroom elsewhere in the overworld

Mumbo NEEDS to make a house like this, but his sole aim is to make it as confusing and complex as possible

Two things, first, for modders, the april fools mod that generates a dimension based on a book tossed into the portal, that mechanic could be used to determine where and in which direction a portal connects. Second, I'd love to see the Mad Mage dungeon created by Alexandrian remade in minecraft using this mod.

Here's a thought. Do the reverse. Build the rooms in the overworld, but make the Redstone part in the nether. That way you have a portal leading to the entryway of the house (which is in the nether), and the entryway has portals to each room (in the overworld). Then you'd have a functional bed in the bedroom you could sleep in.

As a solution to the whole bedroom-in-the-Nether issue, you could just set up a second portal at the end of the first one taking you back to the overworld and link it up to an overworld portal that is underground or on the second story so the room is still relatively hidden.

Imagine "stacking" these. You could have a room that leads to 3 other rooms, which lead to another 3 rooms each, and so on. Or you could make a maze with loops that wouldn't make sense

Imagine the hermitcraft nether hub with this mod.

You know, looking at this, if you somehow get your friend to download the mod without them knowing what it does you could prank them pretty good. Just make a regular house, have normal sized rooms and such, but make a portal to the bedroom. Just make sure they can't hear or see anything netherlike and wait till night >:)

a solution to beds in the nether: have two portals, one after another, so you're back in the overworld, but at a different y level

These are the absolute best, highly recommend adding this to hermit craft and you freaking out other hermits lol

Mumbo that 4 poster bedroom looks so comfortable you should take a little nap on that bed.

This would make an incredible convenient storage system. Every single item sorted and only a few blocks away in each direction.....

If you made a house which was mostly normal but had an immersive portal which lead to the bedroom but it was in the Nether, that would be the perfect prank.

This mod is so cool! Next time we gotta get some fancy doors, like in your video 100 Doors in a minute! I just feel like that would be so cool!

I love this! Challenge requests since I don’t play Java but would love to see: 1) hide the obsidian (larger portals with small frames) with a slightly larger “hallway/entrance” to try and create a near seamless transition over world to nether 2) the vertical portals, I’m sure it’s been done but I haven’t seen it yet: an infinite fall portal link where the only way out is to shoot an arrow at one of 2 redstone target blocks (while in persistent fall) that EACH breaks a portal. But if you shoot the target on the nether side, the portal that breaks will drop you in lava. And if you shoot the overworks target, then the portal that breaks drops you into water!

This has to be my favorite MC mod I've ever seen!

Mumbo doesn't do this cause he likes the mod, he just wants to ignore the fact than he has a huge chest monster in his new base lol.

I love making weird sequencers and stuff in the DSP software Reaktor, and I've found almost any time something wasn't working right, it was because I needed a unit delay somewhere XD also I feel you on those Cadbury eggs, man.

Custom portals mod combined with immersive portals is brilliant. You can make overworld point to point portals and also into the nether. I haven't tried to create one into the end yet. Try putting portals on top of each other, you can fall forever. I put a spiral inside the portal with a clock generator that causes water dispensers to turn on and off as the tick travels around the dispensers causes a spiral while falling infinitely.

I'm currently watching the latest video of pearl and they are making a maze for B-Dubs and I immediately started thinking about mazes. Suddenly I was thinking about this mod. A multi layered maze with the portal mod would be insane, you could make such hard and mind blowing routes with it!!

A maze using immersive portals has true potential. You could even use the stacked portals in the nether to make an evil tower of sorts. Traps, confusion, and disorientation awaits!

Oh mumbo, you haven't even gotten started with this mod. You can make portals without the Obsidian frame, one-way portals, you can make portals that exit in the same dimension. It's quite an exciting mod
