painting the handrails with a brush and Citadel Contrast paint also painting the white stripes with Model Master Acrylic primer and a fine brush. The video cuts off at 30 minutes, but that is the real ending.
This looks to be a handy method for making handrails on those old Athearn Blue Box models or even the old AHM, Mantua, or Tyco. Either way this process looks awesome and would look nice on almost all older models! Thank you for sharing!
the model shown is an AHM GP18 - I've been working on this theory for many years and finally tried it. my old way of using brass rod is still ok, but the copper is so much easier and faster
This has been an awesome series. I was just running my AHM GP18 Too Line tonight and may just use some of your ideas to help detail it. Really appreciate your in depth videos.
Those Walthers GP9m are very good little locos for kit bashing. Not so nice that you feel you’re destroying something. Not so bad that you feel it’s a waste of time.
there are several stores that carry it - my favorite is the wargame store because they also have armypainter. warhammer stores carry it, some comic book shops, but the train store even though they have armypainter now - only a matter of time before they get it too
