The issue is that many men DO want women to work like men so that they don’t have the responsibility of providing for a family. the guilt Kelli mentions is so real! The men either don’t realize or care about the burden they place on wives by having us work and THEN come home to do all our duties at home too.

This is something my husband struggled with when I got pregnant and started being a full-time homemaker (even though it was something we both agreed on before we tried to have kids). But God really illuminated His Word to my husband about the biblical role of a wife and husband. It also helped when I actually showed my husband actual dollar amounts of what we would be saving with my staying home versus working part time or full time.

Bad men. I wouldn't say that there are many. A lot of this generation is being taught that providing for women has no benefit whatsoever. They cant even get a moments peace in their own home. So these lazy guys who want women to do bring home the bacon and provide for them, they're a few step beyond an angry misogynist.

As a husband, I have never heard of a one single Christian man who wants that (maybe one). I would fall over dead if my wife decided to let me 100% provide. That’s all I want, but the comforts of the American life/dream/feminist has tainted her God given roles. Money is more important to her. Although within our struggles God is still faithful, prayer is the deciding factor.

Exactly! My "Christian" husband insists I 'pull my weight financially via an out of the home job AND take care of the house, errands, shopping, appointments, cleaning, cooking, the list goes on. I fail constantly.

Yes homemaking has become so monetized. I watched a few homemaking videos and felt so guilty, like dang I don't bring an income, maybe I need a job? Maybe that's the right way to be a homemaker? I like that he said, making him better at his job. Because my husband had said the same thing, when I asked him if maybe I should go work to "help" him out. And he said him being able to come home to a clean, organised home and home cooked meals is actually making him better at his job (he recently won an excellence in work award too!). So I'm thankful I found you guys because I remember having so many doubts, and feeling guilt for not working.

Yesss, that is so good! Thank you so much for sharing this, it really is the most valuable work. And it's also sadly common for guilt about money making to come in or this feeling of needing to go out and work, thankful so many of us homemakers are not folding to this pressure!

I quit my part time job making 11 an hour… I started my Etsy shop and now I’m making double. I bake all of our baked goods, cook all of our meals, and now have a full schedule of homeschooling and creating for my business. It set me free and made me so confident. All of my hopes and dreams could not be possible without my husband. I feel for single moms, I can’t imagine doing it alone.

Man, when he said "if this stuff stresses you out, you should probably avoid it. You don't want to do stuff that stresses you out and takes you away from your FIRST DUTIES to your household and your husband" I had to pause the video to just go, "YEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS. AMEN!"👏👏👏 I am so thankful that there are people like you out there sharing the truth! I admire that you are pushing the truth that it is OKAY for mothers and wife's to work as long as it is not distracting them from their God given role as a wife and mother❤❤

Yes!!! AND, in times gone by, the homemakers who did have extra time on their hands and/or desire to make a difference in the wider community served as volunteers. Through the church, they fed the needy, cared for the infirm, and lifted up the downtrodden. Within the community, they started and ran libraries, humane societies, painting clubs, and women's clubs that hosted festivals and did fundraising. Our society is suffering from the dwindling numbers of energetic and caring volunteers. Everything is monetized now, and so everything that is actually important is devalued. There are fewer groups of women allied together over beneficial projects, and so there is less bonding and love among friends. I appreciate the expansion of choice and freewill that our modern society has fostered, but I hope that we are seeing a turnaround in the choices we make, leading us back to the old ways but with a greater appreciation for them.

This is why I left my job as an EMS dispatcher. I missed so much of my kids lives and time with my husband. After 7 years, my marriage hit a breaking point. It was my job or my marriage. We are still not in a financial place for me to stay home but we are working towards it (lots of superficial "keeping up with the Jonses types spending debt to pay off) but my new job is 5 min from our home, my schedule is the same every week and I get many holidays off. It's not where I want to be but it's a step in the right direction.

Right now, I'm working on the soap. I am trying to figure out how to keep the soap out of the drip of the water. Why buy more bars of soap, when we can more fully utilize the soap we have? So I ordered a soap dish that will screw into the wall above the shower surround. And another towel rack, to be able to hang the washcloth up. To me, this is the quintessential things that a wife is supposed to do to help her husband. It takes up time, but it is the details. That is just an example. There are many others, such as the light in our house. My husband was raised to always turn lights off, but sometimes you need lights. Our house was wired opposite of the order we move now. Now, we don't hardly ever use the front door, so we enter rooms from the opposite side, and so you have to stumble over everything in the room to get to the one light switch. He could totally rework that, but I can't, and he doesn't have time because he's working. So I ordered a light that plugs in, and I can screw it to the wall. And I ordered a light bulb that has a motion detector in it. This is so the light doesn't have to stay on, so we can save electricity when its not in use. There are so many details that a housewife takes are of. I am actually building out a closet. Then I will move to reworking the kitchen cabinets. I am so busy, but I am helping the home economy, because I am saving money and making life easier. I work very hard, but it is unseen by most people.

Thank you! Not many understand this. It took time to sink in for me! I grew up the only girl in my family, all my cousins are boys so I grew up doing manly tasks. I was raised in construction and the hospitality business. It was really hard to go from loving working construction to staying home. It took me many years to get settled. Now I love it, praise Jesus for opening my eyes with Proverbs 31 and many other verses. I use a lot of time to learn more skills to care for my family without relying on society. Doing my best to live in Gods word and having biblical accountability gives me more peace in being a homemaker than I could have ever imagined. Now I love sharing and helping other moms in doing the same. 🙏 Bless you all

Agreed, I willingly clean 2 properties weekly for my "want to" expenses. Though, this isn't required as my partner loves my purpose as a homemaker. We do not yet have children as we're waiting for his promotion in 6-12 months. Then, we'll begin to plan for the development of a family and he'll allow for me to homeschool our child/ children. In the meantime, I'm a homemaker for he and I, our dogs... and I only "clock-in" at 7:30am and "clock-our" at 7pm-ish... but there is always something to be done in our home. I'm always on my feet. Being a homemaker is busy yet relaxing work. I'm super blessed to be a traditional homemaker. And I love the fact that my partner appreciates my purpose as a homemaker. This being stated, us as homemakers are always busy from completing laundry, cooking, baking, cleaning, folding laundry to gardening, running errands, organizing our homes... etc. I'm so glad that many other homemakers embrace biblical lifestyles.

I can’t understand how women can scream and fight about content like that. When you listen to Scott how loving and understanding he speaks about the needs of his wife you must accept that’s the only way to live a marriage. How can they always come up with the „what if the husband abuses the woman“-argument? And to you Kelli: You speak directly from my heart. Mainly because of how media has trained with the "boss babe" character. We each have leaned heavily into our gender roles the past few years and it has brought such happiness and purpose to each of us. Our household is now in balance and there is harmony. We switched from duel incomes to a single income and it's something we thought to never be possible. We are thriving more on a single income than we ever did when we both worked outside of the home. We love these videos and topics. Thank you for making these videos!

It's funny bc I am not religious at all. Notta drop. But supporting each other equally is so important. Each half of the relationship brings something the other half does have (or isn't nearly as good as). I LOVE those differences! My husband works FT and is in grad school FT. I work FT from home and do relief nursing on the side. But as his school and work level have intensified I have intentionally stepped forward to make sure I can carve out an easier path for him. Because that's my gift right now, the availability and deciding to give our household the dedication for being a clean and comforting space full of delicious food, making sure the bills are paid, managing the budget and the chaos of life. Why would I make it harder on him when he is in the thick of it? Giving is easy if you are married to your best friend.

We appreciate your informative content. My partner provides me w/ a $500.00 monthly allowance to grocery shop ($250.00 - $300.00), gas ($100.00... I rarely use this much for gas), and remaining amount is for doggie toys and decor to enhance our home since we just relocated and moved into our new house. Essentially, I'd love have pedicures and massage therapy sessions every so often and can reap the benefits of both as long as I receive my partner's permission as he usually is fine w/ this being paid for from w/ my monthly allowance. This being mentioned, I love to retail shop... hence, I have a small cleaning freelance business of my own. I clean 2 properties weekly which provides $340.00 (or more varied upon tips) monthly into my pocket for "my want to buy" expenses. Honestly, 99% of my money from cleanings is spent toward decor for our home... like, small items. And I place the remaining amount toward accumulating my savings. I rarely have sufficient time to retail shop as I'm always busy completing homemaking tasks throughout the days especially now that we have 2 adorable puppies. I don't take my man for granted and he doesn't take me for granted. We're a team. And I always search for coupons, applicable discounts, and compare prices to get us the best deals for all essential purchases.

Respectfully, if you think most women are working to get massages and facials, you're out of touch with reality. An average mortgage payment in my area is $3,000 a month. We couldnt even afford to relocate without my income.

I’m more traditional. Me making money is not favoring God as a wife. Work in the home still takes her away from her husband and family. Stop feeling like you need to make money to be valuable.

Vanilla Jojoba Oil? Where are you finding this?
@ScottandKelli

Hi! I make it. I slice open 3 organic vanilla beans, place in a pint jar, cover with organic jojoba oil and infuse for at least 3 months (although I forgot about mine and infused it for a year and oh it smells divine and my face loves it!) Hope this was helpful!
