I found the location too low for maps, so mounted it above the air vents with a 2DIN gauge pod.

It's for headunits that require you to be in park to use certain features. I wired one into my aftermarket radio for my 06 fxt

Kinda curious... Since I'm looking at buying the JDM hazard button... It has 6 little pegs where your factory one has 8 for the pigtail to plug into.. does that affect anything? Or does that not matter and or does the hazard button still work properly?

I could be wrong but i never saw you do the bypass module. mine works but I can't do bluetooth settings even with my parking break up so im not sure whats up

Absolutely not. You have to disconnect the heater control cables

It was the taking the cables apart that baffled me.

@@earthisflatspaceisfake There are plenty of videos on RU-vid over the years that are more thorough, and less jumpy if you needed more detailed instructions. Cody covered basics quickly so if you've done it before, it all makes sense. If you're new to it, it's rather confusing. eg I don't recall the location of the USB port to plug your phone in was shown, just mentioned.
