Incense pellets are one of the oldest forms of manufactured incense and are likely an outgrowth of herbal medicine. Making pellets is easy, fun, and requires no special tools or hard to find ingredients. You can make a batch in just five minutes! Pellets are not self-combusting so they require an external heat source. www.TheIncenseDragon.com

Thanks for this video, Carl! I purchased your book almost 15 years ago and have revisited it time and time again. It's great to finally be able to put a face to a name! Your wonderful instruction helped me dive into a hobby I have come to cherish very much. Thanks for doing all you do.

Thank you - that's very kind of you to say. I'm just a hopeless incense nerd who loves to make incense and show others the simplicity. Thanks for watching!

I appreciate your kindness. I'm just a hopeless incense nerd. Maybe not the most knowledgeable incense maker on the planet, but what I lack in esoteric knowledge I make up for with ridiculous enthusiasm.

Enjoying your videos, @IncenseDragon. Is there a way to convert your incense recipes to what is called "solid pot pourri pods". What I want looks like it might be an incense recipe with a binder, but then I want to shape it and put the solid form in my drawer or pillow to release a fragrance *Without* lighting it. (final result LOOKS like the consistency of a cone or the dried ingredients on the sticks, but again, I don't want to have to light it to get the fragrance.) Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

How long does it take to dry?
@IncenseDragon
@IncenseDragon 6 лет назад
It depends on the climate conditions and the style of incense that you make. A cone will typically take about a week to dry.

Is there another option besides honey for vegans?
@IncenseDragon
@IncenseDragon 6 лет назад
Yes, there are a number of other options. Plum jam is a traditional binder for nerikoh. I have also used blackberry jam (since it's a local product for me).
