This is some of the best soap I have ever used; it's gentle, cleans the body, and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth! Join us on our first attempt (and a very successful one might I add) at making soap. In this episode we use the Tallow that we rendered in our last video to make 9 bars of pine oil infused soap... Ingredients used for this project:
20 oz of Purified Tallow (please see my video on how we rendered dear tallow)
10 oz of Coconut Oil
4.3 oz of Lye
50 drops of Essential Pine Oil
a Splash of Green Soap Dye (optional)
Equipment used to make this soap:
a Pot or Other Method to melt the tallow and coconut oil (we used a double boiler)
a Kitchen Scale
a Thermometer
a Soap Mold
an Immersion Blender (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)
Safety Equipment when working with Lye (MANDITORY)
