We are making two different dog treats - banana and pumpkin. Then, we are doing a dog and human taste test of the treats. There is a clear winner.
DOG TREATS RECIPE

- Makes about 85-90, 2-inch treats
- Prep time: 10 minutes
- Cook time: 16 minutes
- Cooling time: 5 minutes
- Total time: 31 minutes
INGREDIENTS...
* 3 cups rolled oats
* 1/3 cup peanut butter
* 1 cup of either: ripe banana OR pure pumpkin puree
* 1 egg
* flour to roll out dough (and maybe a little to make dough less sticky)
INSTRUCTIONS...
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (176 C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Add the oats to the bowl of a food processor and run machine for 2-3 minutes, until oats are almost flour consistency with a few big pieces left. [I used a handheld immersion blender.]
Combine oats, peanut butter, the banana (or pumpkin), and egg. Mix until the dough is uniform.
If dough is sticky, add a little flour until it isn't. If dough is too dry, add a little water until the dough can be easily worked.
Sprinkle working surface with flour and roll out dough to roughly 1/8-inch (3 to 4 mm) thick.
Cut treats with knife or cookie cutter.
Place in a single layer on baking sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees F (176 C) for 16-18 minutes.
Cool completely.
