Bob Ross was, I think an officer.. in the army, he had to shout at cadets all day long, he had to be a really angry person and he hated it, so he gave that up and started painting and being his calm self that we know and love. It would be wild to see angry Bob Ross do one of his paintings x

Instead of ribbon ties, I used large safety pins to attach the cape to her, t-shirt's shoulders. My mommy brain was worried she would get runned over or strangled during the one hour she would be trick or treating (at 3 pm). 🍄🍄

I decorated my apartment for fall three years ago. ...The decorations have never come down, and every year, I add more autumn leaves and pumpkins. This is an autumnal household now, year round. So I jive with this video. 100% relatable.

Oh my god! That vintage swimsuit pattern, McCall's 9295 in the green checks, is THE EXACT PATTERN my mother used in 1956 or so to make herself a swimsuit! She didn't gather the bottoms of the legs so they were more like shorts, and she wore it mostly as what used to be called a play suit. What fun! The pattern hung around her sewing stash for years, is why I remember it so vividly.

The stripes peeking through on the umbrella looks to me like the texture of a pumpkin anyway.

Rachel, I love you and I want you to know this: They make spray paint that works on flexible surfaces and can be used to spray paint fabrics and fabric-like materials! And it's not like a hard-to-find online only sort of thing, you can get the brands at most big box home improvement stores! I get not being able to find an orange umbrella, but you shouldn't have had to paint the whole thing with a 1/2" brush and a bottle of acrylic paint! T-T

Hello friend! I'm here to tell you why people don't make cloaks out of spandex! As a pants hating person, I wear full length skirts in the winter. And indeed, I have made a full length, super swooshy skirt out of a drapey stretchy fabric before. Now, my normal, thicker not so stretchy skirts already have a habit of swooping along everything that crosses their path, and trust me, they flare out more than you realise when walking in it. So what happens when you make something that swoopy and swishy out of spandex? It wraps itself around everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING. I have had this skirt wrap itself 3 times around a bike peddle when I wasn't looking, thoroughly constricting me in attempted murder. I have had this skirt wrap itself around peoples (strangers!) legs, more thoroughly than you think possible (not kink shaming, but for me it was awkward). And the reason why I don't wear it anymore: it got caught in the wheel of something, wrapped around the axel a dozen times in the blink of an eye, tearing off my body and running me off the road in, yet again, an attempted murder. So, don't make a cloak out of spandex. Unless you want it to murder you.

Hopefully someone hasn’t already pointed this out but those horizontal lines on the jumpsuit pieces are the lengthen/shorten lines, not the waist! They’re there if you need to make the pieces taller or shorter
