MAKITA RANDOM ORBITAL SANDER // UNBOXING & TEST 

Is there a reason you opted not to go with the variable speed? I'm looking at the Dewalt and Makita as well. The Dewalt has a rubber skirt that I'm not so keen on. The Makita is a good inch taller. The variable speed control rolls in the opposite direction on each one. I'm leaning towards the Makita, despite the $30 price difference.

How well does this get the edges of the polyurethane on hardwood floor? I am between this and a belt sander to do the edges and corners.

Just got it on amazon for $69.. it was a toss up between skil for $40, dewalt for $79 or this. I was tempted to get the ryobi cordless but i hear its lighter duty and I am replacing my cheap hypertough corded sander. When i put the slighest weight it stops spinning so im gona do the old buy once cry one with Makita

why did you choose corded over cordless?

Is the speed variable at all?

If its made in USA, then I lost the trust as I wanted Makita to be built in Japan.

Bro rent a buffer to sand hardwood. Way to much time with palm sander

Hear the hook and loop pad is junk. Not good they are not cheap I had to buy a glue on pad for mine to avoid the issue.

Where did you get the sand paper
