Magic fan here, I offer Monk a deal at 12:01. He would be 1st choice.

Monk was a free agent two seasons ago. The Kings did not trade for him.

Some team is going to offer Malik more than the Kings can. Probably with a bigger role and a starting spot. Doesn’t mean he is leaving but an offer is going to come. If he decides to stay in Sacramento because he likes it here, it will be on 1+1 deal in an under the table agreement to offer him a long term contract next off season when they have his full bird rights. That’s a gamble for him though. He is taking a chance that he won’t have a down year or a major injury. I hope he stays but my guess is he will cash in and secure a long term deal with financial security. Can’t blame him for doing what’s best for him and his family. However sometimes we value our own guys more than other teams do. His numbers and shooting splits are pretty on par with his career averages with a slightly increase volume, usage, and role. Some team may be willing to offer him a 2 year $50m contract sort of like Bruce Brown last off season but maybe not a full 4 year $100m contract. Other teams may be hesitant to give $100m to guy who still hasn’t proven he could be effective with a bigger role.

Malik Monk is simply letting them all hash it out, while Malik deserves to kickback, relax, and knowing he's the most slept on dangerous baller in the NBA Today!!! He's a King for a reason!!! If Malik takes the bag, I say go to SPURES

Monk avg about 8 minutes in the fourth quarter to finish the game. Around 4 minutes in first quarter. I would rather finish game than start the game.

Where sac messed up is by making Malik come off the bench for 2 yrs and not letting him full potential shine. This “he best off the bench as a spark plug” has to go. He started a bunch in LA and averaged 18ppg as a starter and didn’t even take a ton of shots. I’ll bet anything I own wherever he ends up next year he will be a starter and getting real minutes putting up 20ppg+. He’s too good to only be getting 25mpg. Imagine if he got DLO minutes. I think he’s leaving but it won’t be Orlando.

Send that 13th overall pick Harrison Barnes and Kevin Huerter to Golden State for Jonathan Kuminga Kuminga can start in the back court with Fox and Lyles can start with Sabonis
@justmyopinion8395
@justmyopinion8395 Месяц назад
Interesting. That sounds reasonable for both teams. Kevin could replace klay. Barnes would give them more veteran depth and they get a lottery pick. Kuminga gets a fresh start and a chance to be the 3rd star. He definitely brings some length, athleticism, and upside that no one else on the Kings roster provides. I think he has a lot of held back potential being stuck behind the big 3 in Steve Kerr’s rotation. He showed what he could do when given the green light and a bigger role the 2nd half of the season. The salaries don’t match up though so there would have to be more players involved on the warriors part. Would the Warriors do it? Would McNair do it?

The facts are that none of the people using Malik Monk for content know enough, or anything, of what other teams' front offices are thinking. Starting today, I no longer am listening to another content opinion about Malik. Facts do include that the Lakers wanted to keep Malik, especially LeBron and AD. The Kings want to keep Malik. The question is Why? Why do they want to keep him? The Kings got Malik at an NBA bargain, a steal. Every time I have listened to Sacramento talkers, they are as good as cheering that Malik won’t get paid. And trying to talk themselves into Malik not getting much more than Sac can offer. If that, as one of Kings talkers said recently: BN. Here KC says Orlando is IN HIS OPINION looking at Malik as 4th, 5th or 6th. That is where I stopped listening to this one. I hope Malik picks up on this, too. Fans are fickle. Fans love you today and are talking trash soon as you fail making them feel good about themselves. I am not a Malik fan. I am a Malik supporter. Not one of the talkers care that De'Aaron is going to get $60 MILLION in year 1 to near $70 MILLION in year 4 in his new contract this year. The Lakers did the same thing, paid their two front guys huge contracts and this leaves little left for well balanced, securely paid teammates. I hope Malik gets paid. I hope he gets to finally get to be in a position where his ceiling has room for him to blast off. He has never had that. He knows what he can do. Like he said, Coach Brown didn’t elevate his play. He's just never had a coach to trust in him and let him have his opportunities to prove it. It took Mike Brown over a year to trust Malik with the ball. Surprising Coach had done no research on Malik. So easy to do with the internet. But Malik had to even teach Mike how to watch RU-vid in order to see Keegan do something he claimed he could do. Sacramento has been Malik Monk's "bench town." At least he started on the Lakers.
