Thanks for your videos! I wanted to ask you for advice, if possible. How to calculate the protein quota for a patient with sepsis and renal failure? In the first condition it is recommended to increase it, and in the second - to limit. How to be? Especially if the patient has malnutrition.
These situational questions are difficult to answer because there is no official recommendation or one correct answer. The response should be based on your judgement as the clinician, and your understanding of the specific patient. You need to figure out which condition takes priority! Usually, I would prioritize meeting the needs for severe infection and critical illness over renal failure, and would not restrict protein.
Maduhu, I cannot thank you enough for your continued support of my channel. Thank YOU for watching my videos in Tanzania 🇹🇿 (I promise to make videos on CKD for you someday. I have not forgotten!)
Wow! Never in a million years did I think someone from Libya would watch my video. Thank you so much for investing your time in learning about clinical nutrition ❤️

@@Ali-Alfakhri716 Do you guys have an online fundraiser going? Or any way we can try to support you? I don’t have a very big community, but I can try to spread the word to see if we can help!
@@clinicalnutritionuniversity thanks for your kindness , i meant in our country nutrition as a speciality is relatively new in the medical team , maybe 10 years ago was the beggining of clinical nutrition establishment , still some doctors deny us , others interfering with our job , some believe in us , also we don't have a written policy or protocol to work freely
@@Ali-Alfakhri716 I understand now. I’m very sorry to hear that! All you can do is be the best dietitian possible. If they see that you really know your stuff, you will earn their respect ✊🏼
