Life is about choices. If a guy tells a girl “have my baby” (with no indications of building a solid life with them first such as marriage/ commitment, honesty, financial stability, etc) why would she continue to associate with a fool like that? They go & have a child(ren) with such fool, whom actually lives up to such wayward behavior, and then complain about his foolish ways. I disagree with the “falling for it” statement. The same goes for these guys listening to women that say “ I want to have your baby” ( without commitment of marriage, financial planning/stability, etc). People know exactly what they are doing. Having children is no game or “cool thing to do.” Children are a lifelong & serious commitment. The “whoa is me” excuse is worn out. In my opinion, I strongly suspect that their fathers were not in their lives while growing up.

'Like attracts like' is the basic premise of the Law of Attraction. In simple terms, people in general, tend to seek out those who are like-minded or similar. Self-abandoning people attract each other. Those who value their energy and carefully vet who they submit their energy to, attract the same.

It's not just people of colour who need to fix this baby momma culture all races in North America have this problem. We need to be an example to our children, to our nieces and nephews and to our communities of respect. Self respect and respect for others. We also need to be taking the children to church, reading the good book with them in our homes and living the example for them. We need to bring Daddies back into the home and as women we need to stop disrespecting each other and fighting over men not worth the time of day. No amount of passion in the moment is worth the heart ache this woman (and many other women) has been made to feel.
