Liam Mckay yah it's amazing how many people don't maintain there guns or never take them to the range to make sure they function properly. I bet that gun only shot that 1 round in its life.
+Liam Mckay EXACTLY! A lot of people want all this fancy shit, but honestly a double action or single action revolver is awesome. The mag is attached so it can never get "LOST" less moving parts less chance of failure to feed or eject. Its the same reason people like the pump shotty. You control the action dont rely on automation. Personally I like the Taurus Judge or the Smith and Wesson Governor. A revolver that can also fire .410 Shotgun shells. Its a jack of all trades, maybe not long range, but hit em with shot shells first make sure u tag em then have slugs for the follow up.
@Bob Saget please don't try to argue gun safety if you have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. I pray somebody like you never gets their hands on a firearm.
Never shoot a warning shot. Never say it was a warning shot. Here is what to say: (1) i was assaulted (2) my life was in danger (3) i had to defend myself If pressed with questions: say that you will happily cooperate after you’ve got an attorney. Period.
not if you live in californa. even if you back up into a cornered location you will still be arrested. for this guy, it would be attempted murder and un lawful discharge of a deadly weapon. in this state home owners have no rights. but crooks get all the protections the state can hand out for free.
@@THRASHMETALFUNRIFFS I was doing the same thing lol. I am like what in the world, why is he even holding a firearm during the news interview. You don't need it to share your story!!!!!!! 🤦♂
Yup, with the bolt pulled and locked back. One little slip up and *BANG*. Happened to my friend once, shithead shot himself in the thigh just missing the femur. And not to mention he muzzle sweeps the entire news crew. Also had a friend showing off an “unloaded” shotgun at a drinking party, muzzle swept his friends and blasted a girls finger off and got some birdshot lodged in a few faces.
@@dogyfresh1974 His finger was behind the trigger, its the same way i hold firearms, ive seen peoples fingers slip and pull the trigger while they have it along the lower receiver, but yea, dont like that it was loaded
"Are you still anxious?" "Yeah, I actually bought another gun today" *MURICA* Edit: thanks for the likes! Also, this is not an anti-anything comment. Believe me. I love the fact that we have so many options to use in our *basic human right to self defense* and he used it. No other place like this
Yeah what's wrong with that? Libs use this type of thing as an insult, we should be proud of this guy for excersizing his rights and defending his home. I'd be buying another gun aswell if on the the first shot it jammed, it looked like a 9 mm someone could easily continue attacking after hit with that, he's lucky the robber didn't notice it jamming
Dude has a loaded mag in, with his finger on the trigger... Good on him for defending himself, but someone get this man some training before his next warning shot is a ND!
Yea there is no need to have a loaded mag in the gun while reporters are there to do an interview. Bolt is in the position to slide forward and load one into the chamber..
I saw that too and realized he had no muzzle awareness. I'm glad you protected your life and property. Make sure you keep those around you safe as well.
I'm that one fat kid in PE that misses allot and calls them warning shots. So has a professional of warning shots I can rest assured that they were indeed ""warning"" ""shots""
mp40 is german , grease gun was used by the americans ( and the sten gun by the brits ) . grease gun has a hinged cover over ejector . this is some sort of sbr or classified as a pistol , something newer but im uncertain what it is
As a long time gun owner, this dude scares the sh*t out of me with his weapon handling! Also, your home defense gun needs to be dead-nuts reliable, not some cheap POS like that
actually he doesn't you guys just need to look harder pause at 0:42 where you can actually see the trigger and its guard with his index finger just below. the weapon is just awkward looking and his index finger looks like its on a trigger when its really not, however he still a little goofy for having the loaded mag inserted. there may be one part where he has his finger on the trigger when he is demonstrating outside even then it looks like he is trying not to.... though kinda hard to tell still
2011 SHO Kona i know! Open bolt gun and it’s cocked back with a full mag and he his finger in the trigger guard. It’s like the guy doesn’t even know what a gun is.
I know, right? Plus the guy spent all day stocking them from inside his house. He knew they were out there. So, he's just going to wait on them to break in so he can fire a warning shot? What's the point? It seems that a phone call to 911, hours before, could have done a lot to help this situation.
Neighbors saw the men casing the house all day. Even saw them ringing doorbell for over ten minutes. Sounds like your neighbors may know a thing or two.
Neighbors casing home all day......Ringing doorbell for ten minutes...... Obviously, sounds to me like he's the new neighbor. And like any new neighbor - traditionally - new neighbors got to be meet and greeted. They really, really, really, really wanted to give him those brownies they baked to welcome him to the neighborhood.
This is actually a good example of why that type of firearm is not a good choice for home defense, it jammed, if those guys had been armed this could have turned out differently. I'm glad he and his family is safe.
That particular M3 grease gun was a pos. Any quality AR-15 in the hands of a trained individual will function flawlessly, hence the US Military using the similar M-4/M-16 platform. Don't get me wrong, this is not me saying that an AR is a superior home defense gun, I'm just saying they're plenty reliable.
@@davidoberlin4186 Well I guess its their funeral if they get shot. I mean don't aim it at something you don't want to destroy. I am not a gun owner and I know that, as well as that you treat ALL real non-toy guns as if they were loaded, whether they are or aren't loaded. He's waving it around and pointed it towards the camera and and he looks to have had his finger on the trigger.
7 years later. Did they ever find them or did the authorities just not care? Chances are they would've brought the homeowner up on charges for protecting himself in 2023
Yes its sad the recklessness but its still his right to have a gun and to be able to defend himself, just if something happens to his negligence thats on him.
A. lack of trigger discipline on camera B. Firing warning shots at actual intruders C. Relying on a malfunctioning weapon But damn sure glad he is alright.
You know why they call it a grease gun, because it shouldn’t be run dry, damn bitch should be full of grease. That’s not the real reason it’s called a grease gun I’m jk
@@bennetthoward4510 warning shots are a waste of ammunition and against the firearm safety rules. Never point a firearm at someone unless you’re willing to take their life, not, “never point a firearm at someone unless your firing warning shot.” Warning shots are how bystanders in South American countries are killed accidentally by police
You can clearly see the bullets in the magazine while the chamber is open. I'm not sure if that weapon fires from the open bolt. I know some MACS do. Pointed it right at them several times. Brave camera guy? Stupid camera guy!
I subconsciously thought the same thing he was damn near pointing the gun at the camera with his finger was on the trigger while trying to explain. Either the camera crew all have balls of steel or they just didn't know any better
Gangsta wannabe. Poor quality weapon. Poorly maintained. Poorly trained. Clueless trailor trash. Maintain control of the damn weapon. Never shoot to injure or to scare the bad guy you idiot.
Good thing he didnt come out his hiding spot cause that wouldve been it for him and he seems too young to die for some bullshit like that a person should be safe at their own house or a loved ones where no incidents like that should even happen in the first place much love for him for protecting whats his especially his own life
@@B-mang that makes absolutely no sense. That has to be the most ignorant comment I've ever read on RU-vid. And don't even bother trying to respond with some kind of snappy reply, all its going to do is make you sound even dumber. Lol. Only saves racist lives. Ha ha. Ridiculous!
That guy should not own a gun until he's had proper training. Finger on the trigger. Pointing it all over the place. What's the point of having it if you're not willing to kill someone who is armed and in your home?
i'm one of the most laid back gun rights advocates and don't believe in required training to own and operate a firearm but this guy, this guy makes me think there should at least be an IQ test with the way he's waving it around pointing at people with his booger hook on the trigger and a loaded mag in the gun. ffs....robber or not, nobody needs to be within 2 miles of that guy when he's got a firearm.
@@wckatlov lol, well there's a 100 million more guns in the US than there are cars and yet far more people have car accidents than gun accidents a year with only 430 gun deaths per year vs 1.2 million vehicle deaths....what good are the driving classes actually doing then? ...to be clear, i'm not the moron that made the comparison between guns and cars, that was you bro. beyond that from a philosophical point of view, which you're likely to dumb to even begin to grasp is that it's far more dangerous in the long run to allow the goverment to put limits on firearm rights than it is to have unabashed freedom....regardless of your normalcy bias all great nations eventually fall and become hostile tyrannical places, it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when, what our goverment WILL end up doing to it's own people will be far worse and much more deadly than what we tolerate with private gun ownership, millions of lives will eventually be saved by having firearms in the hands of the public and by allowing the goverment to put limits on that ownership is slowly eroding those rights and putting more power and control into the hands of the goverment....go watch the videos of the failed revolution of crimea, you had people throwing rocks trying to defend their sovereignty and freedom only to be shot dead in the streets by goverment officials, you're an utter moron if you believe it will never happen here....sure, it may not happen soon, it may not even happen in your lifetime but we are living history and we need to ensure that our grand children or great great grandchildren will have the ability to defend themselves when the end of our nation eventually comes....you lack foresight and the ability to see yourself as a part of living history, our country is currently screwed because of a number of things the people who came before us decided to do out of fear or utter stupidity just as you are now suggesting we do. we should probably level IQ tests for people to vote given how many stupid people there are like yourself....that would be better for the nation in the long run and would prevent more death than requiring firearm classes, lol.....like seriously ya dim wit, you ever take a firearm class? do you have any idea how basic they are? you're going to learn more with an hour on youtube than you are any stupid state mandated firearms schooling. lol.....give me dangerous freedom over the fake and perceived tyranny of state mandated "safety" ....ya muppet. lol
@@Dragon228833 oh he is. Cause in my honest opinion every American citizen should have a right to a firearm and concealed carry. Bottom line we live in a free country. Im for sure not going to die because i had to wait 2 weeks for my test results to come in just so I can defend my life.
