What an achievement! Both Tuk and Inuvik are full of fantastic people. I spent 4.5 years living in Inuvik and loved it.🙂

this is awesome. It only dawned on me today to stop searching the triple crown trails (pct, cdt, and at) and see if anyone has done the TCT....I plan on doing from ottawa to NB and the islands. then fly home and then go from ottawa o BC. then break, then BC to the north. I have a large breed dog with me who can haul a wheel or sled cart to help with supplies. I also intend on getting a fishing permit in each province and do as much foraging as I can. Then after the canadian side, I plan to do the triple crown. it will either be this spring. or next year. depend if i can 1. get the backing and 2. the finances together in time. 3 the camera to document the trip. I already document my hikes both ottawa and QC side. But would love to make an actual documentary of this journey. when I get to the North I may never return to ottawa. i might just go nomad and stay there among the Inuk :) I do have a sister from another mister (street slang for a non related sibling) who gave me my inuk name and my dog, so id love to go and honor her there. the trail is my church. and if it wasnt such a stigma, I would live on the trails just walking from one end to the other. maintaining it, teaching people about it, advocating for it. I couldnt imagine a world in which you could go outside your city and see no trees, or water. i also plan to journal it and maybe write a book. i have already started the route planning, and spent the summer training for it.

They are worse. This is quite common in northern communities. In Iceland as well there are those crooked raven coming to shred your belongings when your gone.

This is an achievement . Such activties should be encouraged. This gentleman should get a national award plus a good pension and fully funded government provided housing. Rather then wasting the funding on Syrians, Afghans , Nigerians, Haitians, Palestinians, Lebanese, Eritrean, Ukrainians , Canada should invest in its own people. Your own people will give it back to you not Indians , Chinese,Mexicans, Philpeenos siphoning money out of Canada.
