I love the fact that he quickly strikes that panel without even a second thought when his father tells him to do it. He completely trusts his father no matter what.
if the MCU did this scene it would have Jorel mocking he's sons outfit and then Superman would joke about him being an absentee father in a sarcastic way that mocks him being dead. Oh yeah, all the while Louise is hurtling to earth in a metal coffin but that doesn't matter because they are having fun and they are "self aware"
The father tells the son, who are both gods, you can save humanity, you can save them all. Then he falls back in the pose of a cross. So epic. I'm not a religious person, but this was powerful.
I just wrote something about. Now that is awesome. It shows that others felt and saw that in this scene. Stay Gold gamingbtc, your one of the good ones.
I honestly almost rolled my eyes in the theater and I love this film. This moment was just so un-subtle. The moment with the stained glass in the church was a lot better. I did not even notice it the first time.
I always see this scene and think I wonder if GOD had a conversation like this with JESUS before he sent him to earth. And if you notice, when he flies out of the ship into space, Superman floats out with his arms out and legs down like he’s on a cross. It’s a very powerful scene. Just beautiful. I tear up every time I see it. 42 year old man here.
Yes! You have it exactly right! Jesus Christ is God and He is the successful Savior of ALL creation! He came to save the world and that’s exactly what He accomplished
This scene literally made my heart race in the theatre...Cavill's Superman gives me chills with some his expressions...he and Reeve are my favorite Supermen...of course it's hard to top Reeve his smile and charisma were out of this world but damn Henry comes close..he was a good choice to play this version of Superman.

For Kal el to be walking around smiling in "this" realistic world his father sent him to ? In this universe would come off exceptionally corny. Mad respect due to Reeves ( Kool movie in his day) but this film & universe was a rich masterpiece with the story of Superman. This scene alone was phenomenal !
Zach: is it true what WB said about Justice League recut? Fans: You can save it Zach, you can save all of it! *zach flies off to do pick ups and post production on JL for a 3 hour cut.
I do believe Lois and Clark’s chemistry is genuine however it would’ve been better if they had built on stronger history before making her his entire world

"You can save her Kal, you can save all of them" ... I just realized this is the inverse of Steppenwolf taunting Hyppolyta in ZSJL 😬 "You can't save her. You can't save ANY of them!" Talk about continuity.. #RestoreTheSnyderVerse
I think zack drew a lot of inspiration from jesus when he was crafting supermans arc... For example in here the father tells the son he can save them, all of humanity. And clark jumps off in the form of cross. This is also seen in the scene when pa kent tells him he is not from this world, clark tells him he doesnt want to be special, he says why me, he was a kid who got scared of the enormous responsibility that was placed on this shoulders, similar to how jesus reacted. He gets subjected to hate despite all his efforts and in the end sacrificed himself in BvS to save humanity. When he gets resurrected from death, he flies into space to absord solar radiation in a pose reminiscent of a cross. I know the paralles between superman and jesus always existed..but zack did a phenomenal job in bringing it yo screen so beautifully. Mind you, i am an atheist myself but it sure is beautiful the way zack depicted it.
Majestic scene from a masterpiece of a movie. Now, this is for all the haters: YOU IDIOTS REALLY THINK THAT SUPERMAN CAN SAVE EVERYONE? Get the fuck outta here! He'd have to fight off Zod and his loyalists, stop the Terraformer, AND get every single fuckin' human being out of harms way?! I love Superman, but the guy ain't no Doctor Manhattan! Self-Cloning is not one of his powers.
+David Solomie yeah, but he could have taken the one-on-one fight w Zod out of Metropolis. And he could have, you know, flown Zod to literally any of a MILLION ACRES of farmland vs. Main Street Smallville Kansas.
Plus, the people saying he didn't try to take the fight away from the city are wrong. In Smallville he did, many times. He tried to fly Non away, Faora as well. But every time they punched him back down. It was the military that blew shit up.
@@4no3bo3dy he didnt jave any control of the fight. Look at the movie again, he was being kicked by zod, he was trying to survive to someone who fought better than him. The only reason he won its because he was stronger (because of being exposed to the sun so many years). There was no way superman could avoid the collateral damage. He did what he could, and he saved mankind by killing zod, because there was no other way. Zod was going to destroy everything after killing cal.
The previous Superman movies lacked action scenes which led to an out cry by fans stating that the next Superman movie should contain lots of action, this is a fan service action movie & it shouldn't be criticized for that since Superman first appeared in "Action" Comics #1
This is great but overall I felt holding up an oil rig and and roaring at a feat of strength when he was young and inexperienced was the most powerful scene of any Superman moment ever.
low IQ of general audience led to this. majority of movie goers do not appreciate the art of movie making, but rather they are looking for some circus show. all they want to be amused. this led to aquaman
john doe he’s based on Moses. Not Jesusz The original creators Jerry seigal and how shuster we’re Jews. It was later writers in D.C. that made him more of a Jesus figure. Especially with his death with doomsday and resurrection.
The directors are pointing to Jesus the Messiah look how he makes the symbol of the cross with his hands out and notice how he goes from the Heavens to the Earth and his Father (God, EL) tells him you can save them. Christ came to save mankind from their sin and so we could come to know him and even our own identity.
Superman has the Codex inside of him. There are millions of Kryptonian family gene programs in his cells. At any point he can go to his ship's Genesis Chamber and extract a Kryptonian Codex from his cells and incubate it. So basically he would start bringing kryptonians to life when he feels that both species can coexist. That would have to be decades after he first appears to the world, after we got used to him and he understood his powers well enouh to gauge if others should have that power too here.
@@HurricaneGaming509 Puts his decision to destroy the genesis ship in a grander light. He chose the home he was raised in over the one he was born in...shutting the door on billions of people given the chance at existence over people who already exist.
Description Jor-El, we never deserved your son or to be saved by him. We continue to make a mess, are to busy making fun of eachother..or dancing around in Tik Tok video to get validation and not caring for one another and us as a whole... We are sad..maybe one day we can join you in the sun!
