Single homeschool dad here. It can be done but you have to want to do it. And you're right. Most of these "conservative" women have the feminist fever.

They can't completely isolate themselves from the norms of society. The best they can do is make those norms less pronounced, but they're always there.

I'm 43 years old, single, tall, good looking, stable career, respectful, fit, etc. I've spent the past 15 years of my life looking for a wife. Never was able to find one. The only women who seem to give me the time of day are fat women, single moms, older women, divorced women, etc. It just seems as if most young women don't really want to get married until the very last minute, when they are getting old. Once they have been used up, and are not as attractive, that's when they start to look for a good man. I think I understand now why older societies practiced arranged marriages. Because they knew that women are stupid and can't make good decisions for themselves.
The Navy took me to California in 1973. The Army kept me there until 1980. I had ZERO luck trying to date. I gave up even trying when I was 24. I'm 68 now; been out of California for 20 years, and should have gotten out in 1980. I might have had a chance elsewhere. I have been a “traditional“ wife for most of my married life (I did work but only after our two boys had graduated) but have a vivid memory of when things changed and I realized I had become a second class citizen in the eyes of most of my friends and acquaintances. Heck, I was born and raised on a farm in Indiana. We didn't expect any country girl to have a garden. We didn't expect them to make meals from scratch. We just wanted them to go to whatever grocery they thought was fine to them and make supper. It really wasn't a super strict thing at all. Did women pretty much manage all that? Yep. When the woman said , "it's time to eat," you just stopped what you were doing and ate. Every other week, we'd go out or get a carry in. That was fun and fine too. We did it all together though, we didn't think about not doing that. We ate at 5PM when I was a kid. When we looked at the food, ya just thought of mom did this. I didn't have sisters so I don't know what having sisters in the house is like. Me and my brother, dad and mom. Mom always looked good but it seemed like all the moms did. It was just normal. When I was a kid, mom's on a daily basis kind a looked like you Erin. If the mom was a super farmer type, they were tougher but not manly. Some moms in the City kind of looked a bit more dressed up, but it was still normal looking. Now I only know midwest life so what big city life was like, I don't have any experience in that.

Canada (the western more rural conservative part of Canada) seems to be only feminist damaged women. What gets me being a traditional husband is they think a trad wife is sooooo hard and demeaning. They think they are the only ones sacrificing. Being on the drilling rigs we work a 12hr day. 7:30-7:30 meaning we show up at 7 to change and 8 after changing. That’s 13 hours. Then we have at least 60-90 min drive time to get home so that’s a 15-16 hr day. That could be in 35 above to -70 below. Often around -40. Celsius. Shower, eat well do not get a chance to see our kids and this is 2 weeks on and 1 week off. We eat and do straight to bed. My wife divorced me because she wasn’t happy anymore. I used to bed her to slow down on the spending then I would not have to work so hard. Now my kids are 20,21. I told them they had a good like , I did not. I tried to give them everything I did not have. One time I even worked 9 MONTHS STRAIGHT. Heck my next job paid $200k a year but I would only have 1 day off a week, I would work the whole winter sleeping in my pick up truck from November to April. I did not complain because a man’s gotta do what a man’s got to do. That is to provide for thier family. I’m now 55 and retired because of the sacrifices. While she is still not happy.

I'm not husband material and I know it so when I were looking for that one, I purposely searched someone way less of a wife. I somehow twisted my mind to think that simple woman would mean simple life without high goals. I was wrong. I feel like there is this constant pressure from expectation, that I have to elevate our life. As I'm a lesser man, everything is crumbling down like a house of cards. Lesson for every male. If you are up for it, go for it. If not, stay as far from women as possible... Do something else.
I hope one day you have the confidence to know that providing a good safe home is enough, and if a woman wants more than that, than the problem is with her understanding of reality.

Instead I have a huge farm that does locally produced free range eggs, 2 tractors, 2 cars, hundreds of hectares of forestry, 4 kids, really large multi-storey house, an outdoor sauna, blackcurrant plantation. I have to constantly build or renovate something. I'm a wrong guy for this all but I just have to go on as these things are not something I could just backtrack. When kids fly from the nest, I set goals for my life: Smallest rental apartment, single life, simple job.. and then I will finally be free.

You make a good point here when you say something like 'why do you care about what a traditional wife does and just silently feel sorry for her?' God has given us a certain context about how husbands and wives are supposed to treat one another. Wives should respect their husbands and husbands should love their wives like Christ loved the church. This is going to sound strange but I see this kind of thing in many other contexts. For instance, if you simply believe in god, a lot of people lose it and get really angry for having faith. People also have trouble going about their day in this context as well.
You say she's a caricature and say a traditional woman have long hair, but hair is the same as a bow and pigtails. It's a fashion statement and very shallow. I agree with most of this, but that mindset specifically, is the root of the modern woman problem.

I know women who are near-bald. They’re traditional, feminine and gracious folk. Beautiful personalities, proper upbringing and very appealing. It’s just about how you present yourself. I also wouldn’t call shoulder length hair short, but that is just my opinion ofc. It is definitely not considered traditional, just holds little cultural weight in today’s world. Some culture have very strict rules around their hair.
