Take this as you will, but earlier on his stream Mango said he was not throwing when he picked Doc. He said he was really trying to win with Doc because he felt like if he used Fox that he was for sure getting destroyed. He didn’t want to DQ and give up but he thought what would it hurt to try something new.

Unironically I think Mango can actually make this Doc matchup work against Hbox if he really tried, he dropped so much Doc stuff yet somehow took a game from him.
I feel like people just say “plat camp” like it’s the kryptonite of all low tiers. I think people with that mindset will eat their words as low tier players get better. I mean for gods sake people still play the Peach Puff matchup.
Seriously loved the commentators. Being in the smash scene 2013-2017 their comments about Mango winning with fox, one of the commentators being a side chick because he’s cheering for the old mango? Hahaha, I loved it. So much history between Hbox and Mango. I personally really miss the old Melee “Gods” and all the tensions leading up to Evo. Thank you for the vid. Brought back some fun memories.

I prefer Mango more though because the guy has used so many characters to a very extreme level...Jigglypuff, Falco, Mario...he is a legend. The way he attacks and calculates and does things like a boss, so cool.
I was a doc main when I played melee and always though this mtahcup slwas close for doc. You just need to have the patience and obviously creativity. This was so awesome to see and something I think only mango could do rn, since hbox is such a seasoned player.
@@Insane_Kane well if I’m not mistaken he was an engineering major at a pretty top notch school before dropping out to go full time with smash/RU-vid. He was pretty high in ranking as well. I think he sometimes acts more dumb for his views and such

Smash brothers ultimate is the newest game and is on the Nintendo switch. Or you could go into melee which is a bit more complicated due to needing a good PC. Either one is fine but both have pros and cons
bro all these comments like "hol up mang0's doc can actually win" completely missing the point in game 4 where hbox just decides "welp im done with this time to win now" and doc had no answers to it
I think Hbox threw game 3 for the fans and I respect it if he did. By throw I dont mean he did anything super intentional but maybe not DI properly after every hit maybe try and experiment a little with follow ups. If he didn't then thats cool as well.
I disagree, I felt that he knew mango was sandbagging and kinda paid chill. And mango decided to actually try hard when hbox thought he was just fucking around. Overall kinda wack of mango disrespecting hbox like this. Imagine if zain pulled out roy on mango, people would call out disrespect instantly.

Gotta love commentators that don’t actually comment on the game itself and talk like it’s some shitty podcast. I like color commentary but actually incorporate it along with what’s happening in the game.

All these people who have been "Watching for years" and they cant tell if mang0 was throwing, hbox only gave a game because he was bagging, or if mang0 genuinely thought it was his best odds. Lmao
Hbox came to the casters after getting sent to losers (I think), and he talked about just going full degen camp mode. The theory by the commentators was that Mango heard of this and just couldn't be bothered spending all his mental energy playing a campy Hbox, especially after being sent to losers by Cody.
Nah he was playing kinda bad all weekend and even before he already prejohned “I thought I could force myself to care but I currently do not have that dog in me” loll. He lost to cody in winners and just lost it from there. His fox wasn’t gonna beat hbox for sure so just went with doc
It's a defense mechanism that he uses to make himself feel better because it's less taxing on his ego to say "I lost because I didn't care" than "I lost because the other player outplayed me".
