HI Linda :-D I'm #93 in your *liked* list, and it's only been 3 1/2 hours since you posted this video. LOL The recipe calls for 4 garlic cloves...*I LIKE THAT* was your comment. This sauce is so easy! Thank you for the suggestion. I only made a small batch, but,.... Girl I got it in my head that something salty dipped in this would be good. I wrapped some shrimp and scallops and thin strips of chicken breast in bacon like little appetizers. Oh. My. Giddy. Heart. So good. Thank you!

Hi Linda. My husband bought me the Kindle version of the new Ball book and I am canning the Strawberry Rhubarb Jam tomorrow. The orange juice in the recipe is new to me, but I have been canning for years. It is such a joy to be in your garden and kitchen with you!

Great that you adjust the recipes to your liking. It's not the end of the world. It took me awhile to realize that it's okay to move a bit away from the recipe and make few changes. Great recipe.

I have to try this! I know my husband and my brother would love this. Great idea for Christmas gifts. Since I started canning about 8 years ago that's all anybody ever wants for Christmas is my home canned goodies. I think it's great because I love doing it (and sharing it!) and it's so inexpensive and personal. Loving your videos! Please keep them coming.

Lol wimpy Lippers. I canned 10 pints of mangos for the first time earlier this week. 3 for a dollar I couldn't pass up trying it. Plan on using them for toppings on white cake. The colors were absolutely beautiful on the end product.

Know what you mean about the lids...good idea to alternate them in the water...I have got to my last jars when canning and wondered why I didn't have enough lids...lol

Oh wow this looks so good. I just got my first pressure canner. I'm starting with beans. That way if I mess up, it's only cheap beans. Ha ha!

Tipping is a hard habit to break I guess because I saw you tip water off 3 of the 7 jars. lol. I'm glad to know you aren't perfect and that when I screw up and do it too that the canning God's won't strike me dead. Have fun with your new puppies. Those are my favourite videos I think.

Nice modification Linda!!! Hope you enjoy! Take us along when you use the sauce.....The Chocolate Cherry Jam, Tart Basil or Mint Jelly, or even the Guava Vanilla Jelly recipe's look amazing to try too. Basil and mint from the garden can be put to good use as well😎 I'm looking to can Ham bone broth, and out of the Ball books I have, would I go with processing time for split pea soup, or which meat bone broth? I don't see any for Ham?

I love your videos Linda! I've only water bath canned...love making pickles relish and jams...but the pressure cooker kind of scares me...going to save up some money and get one though and have the hubs help me...then I can do more tomato based canning.... keep making the videos!!! maybe an fyi video " how NOT to be afraid of the pressure canner"

That looks amazing. You'll have to let us know how you use it. I've made pineapple habanero. The first time I think steam came out my ears. I had to cut the habaneros in half. I got my book today. Finally!!!

On your last jar you noted it had about 1 inch of head space and said that would be o.k. because you would use that jar first. How does the head space affect the end product? Is it not good if it has a little more space than called for in the recipe? I'm just new to reading varioius canning books but I've not seen this mentioned so far.

I found a magazine called "Best of Ball Canning Cookbook". It has a bunch of the recipes from this book in it. I found it at the grocery store if that helps, but it was expensive for only 100 pages ($15). I made the BBQ sauce yesterday and it's really good!

I have a canning question, I live in the cold northeast and during the winter I seal off unused areas of my home to save on heat as well as turn off the heat when I leave the house do you know what the lowest safe temperature would be for home canned goods?

Hmm I'm not a habanero fancier. But I wonder if you could sub some yellow pepper for some of them? Or maybe grilling them before adding into the pot. I could see this as a sauce for seafood tacos or a BBQ sauce for pork or chicken. Do these last for a good long time in your pantry? Thanks

Maybe a stupid question, but here goes ;-) Could I use my All American 921 to water bath this recipe, Linda? I would obviously leave the weight off and probably not even tighten down the wing-nuts. Cheerz

I do a lot of canning and it seems, when I can spicy foods such as salsa and chili, they are not as hot after they've been canned as they are before they're canned. Do you notice that too, or is it just my imagination?

Unfortunately when you find gourmet items like this at the store..you read the ingredients, they've add a whole bunch of "other things" like stabilizers.. Follow Linda's vid and have it fresh with just the ingredients you want!
