TP OK Jazz had many unsung heroes. From Nguashi, Djo Mpoyi, Lukiko Diatho, Lola Checain Njagi among others. This is one of the best composition from Nguashi Ntimbo, that was just uploaded recently. A few months ago I looked and searched for the record without no success. The vocals, guitar arrangments, and horns are typical OK playing style. The solar guitar, blending well with the mi solo and the rhythm guitar. TP OK was OK.
Elongi ya Cherie, elongi ya Cherie, photocopie ya manguta aime aime, balobaki ye ayoka te aime aime, manguta nalingi yo fololo na ngai ya motema...... The song was well written, articulated n sang. Indeed nguashi ntimbo was among the great vocalists
I studied in Sona Bata (Bas Zaire) between 1980 and 1983 with the son of Manguta that this song was dedicated. The guy name was Manguta as well. Hope to find you here my friend. We sung together to entertain other students.
I remember almost 30 years ago enjoying this song in my beautiful country of Zimbabwe. This is one of the many many masterpieces of TP Ok Jazz orchestra.
Nguashi Ntimbo composed this song, among many. The song execution was undertaken by Le Commander Josky kiambukuta, Djo Mpoyi and Lola Checain, amongst the essential background group__. Genuinely, breath taking!!. Dr. Ogeto International
This is yet another milestone in music. It's a song with lyrics that will send a quiver of excitement through the spine. Luambo Makiadi Oh Aboubacar Sadikki and everyone in TP Ok Jazz your entertainment of the world isn't comparable. And for whatever wrongs, God in Heaven May Forgive You. MAY Your Souls Rest in Peace

Luanzo Makiadi restera à jamais le plus grand guitariste et maestro de la musique africain sur le continent africain. Aucun doute !! Toujours TPOK Jazz. Cette chanson est un chef-d'œuvre

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions! My own is that; THESE GOD GIVEN TO MANKIND CONGOLESE GUYS ARE THE BEST GIFT THE ALMIGHTY HAS PRESENTED TO MY MUSIC SOUL! NO WHERE ON THIS EARTH IS SUCH MUSIC MIRACLE.
The flower of my life-- Is it you or a duplicate of your face -- I am dying of your love, i cannot sleep -- Longing for you-- Manguta was his main problem --, how else. Penzi laua!! ...in the OK JAZZ'S era when the likes of both the late Lola Checain and D'Jo Mpoi ruled the roost.... Abuobacar Siddikh who knew quite a number of these artists of Congo's dance music's golden era and indeed has an encyclopedic knowledge of the music has posted a detailed biographical info. on Lola Checain in one of his numerous posts.......On our youthful past we danced to this number amongst the others of its period to a standstill at the wedding party of our wonderful colleague and friend Arthur Agoro Saola jaGem Ulumbi!!!!!!
This Music reminds me of our Days at Eregi TTC sharing sleeping at the BARRACKS. The best Hostel at Eregi by those Days During the times of Brother. Cyprian. Those who were there stand up to be counted 🤣🤣
Joseph Onyango, this is one of the best compositions by Nguashi Ntimbo. Thanks for sharing it. Manguta must have been in one LP with another song called “Bona Berry”!! Could you please upload the song if you have it!! The song is buitiful too. I used to have this particular song in a cassette which I lost. I have searched it in the RU-vid but to no avail.
