I was at the quarters of Ladder 3 and Battalion 6 when the initial call came in. Shortly after arrival B6 gave the 10-77 and more units were dispatched. At first a PWH was given, therefore some trucks were already sent back to their quarters. However later, the 2nd alarm and then a 3rd alarm were sound when they found out the fire was still ongoing. I was able to catch most of the trucks with a lot of action including some rare catches while standing at the corner of 1st avenue and 14th street. Some trucks have been filmed twice: once while responding to the initial calls (and then getting a 10-8) and then responding again into the greater alarms.

I lived in Brooklyn for many years and was always amazed at how emergency vehicles got through traffic with people totally ignoring the sirens. The very ones who ignored them would be the first to complain if it was them who needed to be rescued. I now live on TN and I can tell you that if you don’t move over you as a driver will regret it! Folks here pull off the road for funeral processions! What a difference location makes! Just saying.

It never ceases to amaze me how oblivious some drivers and pedestrians are to emergency vehicles that are on a run. Especially when they're all lit up like the Mothership in "Close Encounters of the Third Kind"
@steveanderson461
This was an epic situation, I was there on business and you could hear non stop sirens all day into the evening. FDNY sure knows their stuff, cheers to them all and love New Yorkers,

Thanks very much for this video. I was a daughter of a firefighter and was very proud to know many more. I always wave at them when they go by.
