The problem is they haven't released a decent album since 1998. So they have fallen further down the pecking order. Mind you it doesn't really matter who plays what and where at this monstrosity of an event. Its is populated by middle class media studies students and, worse still, their parents so they can "ironically" sing along to Parton, or which ever dinosaur is dragged out. It is painful to watch car crash television. It is like a modern day, wannabe trendier Butlins. Cabaret with something for all the family. The Manics stopped being relevant years ago, and Wire needs to ditch the glam - he now just looks like a 50 year old bank manager who likes to dress up in women's clothes on the weekend. Embarrassing but somehow befitting of this woeful weekend.

***** Your not a fan of Glastonbury then?......You don't have to look like you live on the streets or be a Levellers fan to go to Glastonbury anymore any walk of life can go. The line ups released months before the event so if its crap you don't go.The Manics must be relevant theres enough people on here arguing about them!!

Couldn't agree more, unfortunately his most technical guitar skills are only showcased in the earlier stuff before Richie disappeared. You listen to a lot of the stuff since then and the riffs and playing have simplified. He's a guy I could listen to all day. Slash and burn baby😎

Jay Bod Lineup looks quite good, but nothing beats last year.

Arcade Fire are honestly one of the best bands out there. They might not be for you, but they make some of the most original and consistently excellent records. I'd check out their albums "Funeral" and "The Suburbs" before passing any judgment

I was in the audience front row centre and it was the highlight of the festival for me, who was you watching instead of the manics? I think it was Robert Plant clashed on the pyramid stage.
