Nobody is rating malls except you , we just love malls anywhere as long as it has air cons fast-food etc people will enter it

People here loves malls because it's convenient and it's air-conditioned, very good for a hot and humid country.

Mega Mall is old, built in the 1990s (?), it’s one of the first large scale malls of its kind. Thirty years ago that was the place to be.

Singapore copied Makati when it was still poor and backward. MAKATI was the first city to develop in the 50s. Other ASEAN countries copied Makati when their cities were still slum areas.

I'm a naturalized American from the Philippines. I grew up in Mandaluyong City. I have always appreciated the malls we have in the Philippines compared to the malls here in the US. Malls in the US are closing down because there's not a lot going on. In short its boring so people will just shop online. Don't take to heart his opinion. He has his own preference. As long as you guys are happy with what we have in the Philippines, that's all that matters.

Sorry, but The Podium mall is way more beautiful, luxurious and huge compared to Siam Paragon mall in Bangkok.....(I'm only expressing my opinion/observations, No hate, only ❤❤❤)

Megamall will undergo a major renovation this year.

I am not sure if you have visited Rockwell powerplant and Shangri-la Plaza just near Mega mall.

Is not the obssession Filipinos love shopping like everytime we have a chance to shop even everyday, or every week or every on special sale, we do shop. Specially when sad bored.

We locals do not rate malls... its from vloggers like you who exaggerate so much comparing to luxury big malls like in Dubai, etc. We never claim that we have the best malls & we just love shopping.

Have you been to Cubao's Gateway mall? The only mall in the PHilippines with huge LED roof similar to Las Vegas. That SM megamall is old.

Next, Filinvest City Alabang business district in the southern part of Metro Manila

Shangrila mall is just beside mega mall, to the right when you're facing mega mall. Think they sell luxury brands there. Sm aura in BGC is also very good with a sky garden. Some malls are embracing the sky garden concept so that those that originally did not have one intentionally created sky gardens like the gateway mall in cubao and sm mall of asia in pasay. You might want to check them out next time. Ortigas is also a CBD where the stock exchange used to be located. It has the green building of San Miguel, a conglomerate, also covered in greens. Think it also has a long elevated walkway like in Bangkok. Greenbelt also has one. By the way, Alabang is another CBD with greeneries but think not as busy and packed. Guess what's to look forward is when the common train station in Quezon City opens as it is surrounded by 3 malls and where 3 train tracks will connect. Ayala malls by the way are more into green, open and spacious concept than Sm malls. Oh there' s also Parqal in Pasay with a walking street at the middle. Yeah so many malls in ph. And you've just been to few of them

I'd still go to that mall. Luxurious malls such as those in Dubai don't last that long. It's too expensive to the locals. And this goes to any luxury malls in the world. I like that mall because it's like a luxury mall that's affordable. Anyway, the Philippines (the whole country) beats Dubai in the luxury real estate market.

Why don’t you rate the mall in the USA. I live in the US and the malls in the Phil . Way better . So stop pls.

Malls are a way for Filipinos to get out of the heat and spend the whole day if necessary, eating, playing, watching movies and so much more.

Wow. Lots of very interesting comments. Got to check out video on the ShangriLa Mall in Manila. I wonder if it's connected to the hotel brand ShangriLa.

We dont realy care about the shops, most people care about cool walk inside. If you notice most people are not really shopping. Just a place to escape the heat outside. Ortigas area malls are very old though, they were built in the 90's.

Both SM Megamall and the Podium are fairly old malls. Podium was renovated I think before the pandemic. I heard Megamall will be renovated as well this year if I'm not mistaken, to update the look

In a country that is so hot almost all year round, you need malls because of the air-conditioning and safety inside the mall. The big ones have almost everything you need from supermarkets, restaurants, medical & dental clinics, pharmacy, cinemas, ice skating rings, saloons, botique shops and a few have religious services on Sundays. In the US malls are dying coz of online shopping. The strip malls and big wharehouse box stores and grocery stores are where people shop.

Guys, sometimes content creators like Dany will post something controversial so that he will get more engagement. Looks like he needs more views and subs so he needs to create noise. That's all it is. Keep calm 😂😊❤

when it comes to capacity, Philippine malls i say is the biggest but interiors not so much, a few yes but the grandeur i still need to see it. the Pavillion mall in KL is not that massive but the grandeur makeup for it and their other malls as well. most Asian countries ive been to do have malls quit impressive as well.. Taipei 101 also is nice. luxury brands awesome.

Thailand malls are better. But we need our malls because of the heat and it is sometimes better than our small houses. it is also conveniently built near the residential buildings and not built for tourist, its for the locals

No official rating about malls in the Philippines, its the visitors who rated it and a few like you under rated it, thats fine, you can freely and rates other places. Take note, other countries like Thailand took advantage of the Ukraine-Russian war, therefore they are welcoming them with open arms and lots of goodies preferential. In exchange, they can use the money from the tourist to develop. They’re kind of bring on your money, you can buy condos, cars, etc. The Philippines can only offer, at least, easy to communicate, being friendly.
