It's not gendered, men do this to men. I get cut off, interrupted and not listened to all the time as a male, but I am good at my job. The issue is I am not assertive and lack confidence.
Mansplaining is a modern variant of "loose talking" or "airing out the dirty laundry." All of these are contemptible behaviors, and they will be dealt with very seriously. Why? Even if mansplaining is not exactly sexual harassment, this is a bit like a "very sneaky type of non-physical sexual harassment"--my two bits. Mansplaining is an indirect, yet very damaging, dumbing down of a woman's work status or career status. You are actually debasing a woman with these damaging words when you mansplain - and this can really cause a severe drop in a lady's reputation. And any type of harassment can be very debasing to women. As well as very hurting to them too. So for all men - THINK BEFORE YOU EVEN MANSPLAIN!!!!
