@@davesworld2132 ha no I wouldn't. I was just curious on what was happening with it. The diesels I work on do not have this so I never learned about it. Was asking a coworker earlier in the week as well.

So will i get more power/ faster turbo response with a bnr boost controller over the stock one i have a 1.5 malibu

Couldn't tell you. I have customers that have mixed results on bnr controller. This manual boost controller is being used in a different way. It's specifically for bypassing the computer and allowing higher boost numbers. Using a boost controller controlled by the ECM still lets the ECM tell you what to do. That's why I go manual.

Hi dear I own a 1.4 tsi (caxa engine) Jetta mk6 I tuned the ECU, and after tuning the turbo boost didn't turn up to 1.2 bar as requested Then I installed a manual boost controller, and I was able to reach 1.4 bar which is a huge difference. Now after driving the car on highways more than one hour and on high speed the engine light flashes for over boost error code and other code related to intake air sensor temp. Sensor 2 circuit low. And the car loses too much power. I don't use methanol, only Ron 95 fuel. Usually It regains power after few hours of cooling down So what do you think I need to do to keep the power without that loss or hesitation?

Possibly an adjustable wastegate or adjust your controller to bleed off a little less air pressure.

i also dont get my head around, with boostcontroller like this you can see at minute 5 that the boost is bleeding off slowly. its basically a boost leak in that line. seems untunable ecu side.

If your running an OEM tune or aftermarket MAF tune yes it will not work right. Technically it is a boost leak which is why you will get code issues and functionality problems. Switching over to speed density eliminates the mass airflow sensor so this intentional boost leak allows the turbo to spool faster without the computer caring

@@davesworld2132 is the change to map Sensor Like a configuration setting i.e. supported by e78 ? I dont want to loose any Integration to the Car, canBus for example? Seems that i need to ditch the maf BC its Not really mappable anymore with anything above 2,6 bar+ sorry imean 35 psi. following you for some Cheats beyond what Most people know IS possible on a14net

@@davesworld2132 actually did go a different route semi speed density how i named it :) no mesurable faster spool, same power level as before. stock turbine is at maximum of their capability. so i go order a turbo,which starts where this dillemma ends i hope

The CRUZ WILL BLOW OUT YOUR PISTON RINGS WITH OVER 20 PSI OF BOOST. ASE, AIRCRAFT TECH, 38 YEARS. HAVE TO SAY, YOU DO KNOW YOUR THEORY. I tuned a 2014 Cruz, it pulled 20 psi of boost. after a month, it was smoking oil. Customer tried to blame me. California, you need 2 ECM'S. one for smog.

Not true. That sounds like you ran the car on a a bad air fuel ratio. My daily driver is a 2012 big turbo Cruze running 27 PSI of boost. A good tune is everything. The customer may have blamed you but what was done to the car? Stock on a stock tune they only make 12PSI. Now if you run the car up to 20 PSI you have to adjust your timing, Wastegate, Fuel system among other things to compensate for it. The turbo in the video is for a gen 2 Cruze. This turbo is meant for a direct injection engine, And the car that the boost controller was run on is tuned and running 100% methanol. This keeps the air fuel ration correct for the boost.
