Manucon is a wearable controller for model aircraft. It tracks the position of the pilot's hand and uses this information to provide commands to the aircraft. This method of control is simple and intuitive, as it essentially boils down to moving your hand the same way the plane moves.

Hey, as i can see u have used a 10ch transmitter with a 3.5mm dsc port for connecting the arduino as a trainee, what iam curious to know is whether this same concept will work with Flysky FS-CT6B which has 6ch and ps/2 as its dsc port.

Where can instructions on how to build this be found? I have built my own drone and want to expand on its capabilities. Does this glove only work with RC planes or will it work with drones?

you have my attention, looks to me like great potential especially for new fliers. could also use this with a touch screen and lay out a course of actions like loops, hovers, payload drops etc.

It certainly works, though I would say I didn't find it easy. Part of this probably is due to the fact that I'm used to flying with conventional controller. One thing that I think would need to change is some way of having the glove look at the speed of rotation in addition to absolute position. On a normal transmitter, the sticks are sprung to center themselves, but your hand does not automatically seek a level position. This made is a little more difficult, I think. I'd also be interested in having the pilot manipulate a mini "controller" plane and the flying plane would mimic the orientation of the mini plane. This would require an IMU in the flying plane as well, but I think it would be possible, and would certainly make flight more intuitive.

maybe use a pressure sensitive switch held between your teeth via a conductive umbilical.

***** you could also run a wire up your sleeve to your other hand and use your other hand for other functions.

Hey! I am glad I found this project. I am using this as a part of my project. Can you help on this? Can we FaceTime/skype?
